I'm Very Stressed Out About My House

We put our house on the market on Wednesday night and we had 3 showings on Thursday, we have 3 showings so far for tonight and another 3 showings so far for tomorrow.

It's very stressful . . .I don't know how everyone does it . . .maybe it's because I have to take the dog with me too. If it was just me, DH and the kids it would be a whole lot easier . . .

Ugh . . .thanks for letting me rant . . .

Good luck, and just hang in there. At least you know you have some interest in the house.If nobody was coming, I think that would be more to worry about.

Why do you have to take the dog with you? We've looked at numerous houses with the dog in them. They just made arrangements: the dog was in a crate or kennel, usually in the garage, but sometimes in the house. We always greeted the dogs in a kind voice so they'd know we weren't there for harm, and they'd usually beg to be petted or whatever...

Unless you have a dog that goes nuts with strangers around....then maybe you should take it with you. They might scare the buyers and keep them from getting a good look at the house!

One thing to consider...anywhere you could go for a short vacation? We were lucky enough to take a vacation when our house went on the market...the realtor showed it like crazy while we were gone...she'd put in the listing it could be shown any time for that one week....and it was sold a day after we got back!! That was so convenient!!

We take the dog because she's never been crated before. She is really good around people, but she's never been in a situation where people were just coming in the house without us around so I'm not sure how'd she'd act . . .Since I don't have really young children, I also wouldn't know how she would act if a little kid went up to her . . .it's a huge liability problem . . .so that's why we need to bring her.

I wish I could take a mini vacation, but unfortunately that is not possible.

Hopefully it'll be all over by this weekend.

kids and left the house. Folks are willing to stay longer and look if no one is around. It is a pain for you Wish Upon A Star but it is worth it if the house sells. Been there and done that........
