I'm trying to set my computer...

so it requires a password to access the internet and I'm not sure how to go about it.It's a Windows XP system.I do have a Firewall and though I can lock out the Internet with that it however does not require a password to unlock it.
Thanks for any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Go to control panel, user accounts, change an account. If you click on your account there (should be the only one I would guess) you can set up a password. You won't be able to access anything on your computer without that password so your niece or anyone won't be able to log onto the computer at all.
