So in just over 26 hours I will be up and getting dressed to be at the airport for 4 a.m. The packing is all done except for makeup and such and I find that I am unable to sleep. I really hope that exhaustion and the hot tub will knock me out tomorrow night so that I can get a few hours of shut eye before we have to leave.
My mind will just not shut off!! I am way too excited. This is not good. I am supposed to be the one responsible for the 5 of us. It will not work too good if I can't stay awake while we go through customs because I was too excited the day before to sleep! Too bad I can't stand the taste of coffee. That would help to keep me awake for the moments when all are relying on me!
Please tell me that I will get some sleep before we leave!!
Sorry about the rambling. I am tired, just not enough to sleep, but enough that it is apparently making me just a tad less coherent (although in my mind I sound completely sane!) than normal.

he he! Seriously, it can happen.
Seriously, I am the same way before trips (you read my trip report, girl, you know whereof I speak!), and you are right, it's no good starting off sleep deprived. It is completely justifiable, in my opinion, to make sure you sleep well the night before by getting a little help with some Tylenol PM. Just take it at 7 p.m., get everybody to bed, then crash yourself. You might be a little groggy the next day, but you've got the plane ride to recover!
