Day 0 - travel day - The night before I went to bed early and actually fell asleep quickly, but woke up early too excited to sleep more! Checking the weather outside the house in Chicago showed 1/2 inch snow and still snowing big, beautiful, wet flakes! Has someone not told Mother Nature it's April?:lmao: Did some work, and constantly refreshing flychicago.com which obstinately continues to say my 11:50 AM flight is on time while many other flights are canceled or delayed. We actually did board on time, but with deicing, and paperwork ended up taking off an hour late, not too bad overall all things considered.

Managed to get an exit row seat so extra leg room and no one else in my row! Even thought the flight was nearly full. Arrived to 88 degree weather.
Got rental car and headed to the grocery store to pick up yogurt, soda, beer, apples, etc. Then went to big up my fridge swap fridge from POP. Apparently I was on autopilot though and my mind had POP=Value and without conscious thought headed for the All-Stars. As I passed BB, I thought OK which All-Star do I need to go to? OH, crap! not AS, POP. Where the heck is POP???:lmao: OH, and I forgot to mention that it is now 6:45 and I'm meeting friends for dinner at Jiko at 7:30. Eventually found POP, got the fridge without issue (thanks JToll!), got to Swan, checked-in and did the $20 donation to Make-A-Wish and received a free breakfast for 2 at Fresh or Gulliver's Grove!
Met my friends in the lobby and headed to Jiko's arriving only 20 minutes late for our ADRs.

This was my first time at Jiko's. I'm hesitant to go back. The food was excellent, if pricey, but the CM we had was less than attentive. My DDad always said you can tell a classy restaurant if you never have to ask for water refills. Sadly we had to ask multiple times. It could just be this one experience, but from that I think I prefer Boma's for the value.

On the way back we were treated to an awesome lightening show. I dropped off the rental car at the Dolphin and shortly after being back in the room, KABOOM! Lightening! Thunder! A huge squall of rain! It was awesome! I looked out of the balcony and just kept thinking "I'm so glad it's not snowing!"

Jumped into the Heavenly Bed and too excited too sleep!!!
More later....
