It's been 4 years since my last trip to WDW. Now I just have 19 days to wait until I'm back there again. I'm so excited I could burst. I have butterflies in my tummy all the time that I know won't go away until I'm checked in at ASMu.

This will be our last trip for a while as DS is now 18 and we can't support him if he goes of to uni and have WDW holidays. So I'm trying to be laid back and not have a commando style plan (I rather overdid things in 2005!)

So any calming tips for the next 2 and a half weeks?

:lmao: being calm is not one of my strong points im afraid !

You will have a fab trip hun xx

LOL, nor me. Personally, my planning includes knowing all the morning EMH and booking a few meals, but other than that, try to go with the flow and to make time to just sit back and enjoy where you are

As for the next few weeks ~ there's no way I can be calm leading up to a holiday :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sorry I don't know how to be calm either! I go in 26 days and I feel just like you, the last 2 nights I haven't been able to sleep and I keep mentally packing my case!! :lmao:

You are going to have a great trip, might see you there! :cool1:

Just enjoy the excitement it's part of the holiday. Say hello if you see me.:thumbsup2

I think just have a vague list of must do's(rides, shows in each park, not a big list maybe just few things each) and then with the rest of the rides/ shows or what ever think "it doesn't matter if we do it or not, we are there to enjoy ourselves together as a family" and go with the flow.

Tour Guide Mike. If you follow his advice, you can relax and maximize your trip. One time we went in July, followed his advice, and never waited anywhere more than 10 minutes.

If it were my last trip for a while, I would definitely check him out.

I can't give any tips on being calm either, I get really exicted & nervous in the few weeks leading up to the trip.

If you don't like to plan too much then as Claire (wideeyes) said have a few must do's for each person/park then the rest is a bonus. :thumbsup2 Try to sit back & take it all in every now and again as sometimes I find you can easily get swept along & take things for granted/miss things.

I am sure you will have a fantastic time, looking forward to hearing all about when you get back. :goodvibes

I'm sure I'll take the trip calmly, as I said before I ran myself ragged follwing a commando style approach to touring. I have 3 adrs booked and the rest will be what we can get on the day. I do love the All Star food courts as they really suit my family so that should be fairly easy.

It's the waiting at home that's the difficult bit. Luckily I was very busy at work today so that's passed another few hours.

Bev we've booked a night at the RPR so maybe we will see you. (3 August) (I'm usually put a lime green ribbon on my bumbag.)

Jen, I knew you will be out for some of our trip. I'll keep my eyes open.

My next problem is that I keep buying paperbacks "for the flight". I've got so many now that unless we get delayed for a fortnight hours I doubt I'll get to read them.

Libby, I will look out for you, unfortunately, we will be leaving on 3rd August but will be in the parks till about 2 ish I would think. However, I will keep an eye out for you in the other parks. I have made a LG mickey head for my bag with my virtual name on it so say 'hi' if you see me. :goodvibes

Still got 18 days to go. I woke up with butterlies in my tummy again - before I'd even thought about WDW! So I'm sitting here just trying to breathe calmly before I go off to work.

i still feel like that months before every trip!! think its part of the disneyitis syndrome! there is no cure :lmao:

I get a bit hyper to but try to calm myself by cleaning the house!

Right I was fine, totally going with the flow, totally chillaxed now freaking out and have that horrible stressed out feeling. Nothing really major but tickets have not come yet and now a colleague of my DH, father has swine flu and is confined to the home for 5 days. Now worried DH will get it and we will not be going on holiday. DH colleague has no symptoms but hey in this lead up to holidays it doesn't take much for the panic to set in does it?

No tips Libby but i can guess how excited you must be feeling right now :yay::woohoo::yay: cause i'd be exactly the same :goodvibes

In a lot of ways it's nice to be excited, and I realise what a fortunate position I'm in to be going on my 4th WDW holiday. On the other hand the butterflies in my tummy are almost painful at times and I don't know how to subdue them. I've had these feelings on past trips but never as early.

I'm hoping once things get a bit closer and I can do something practical towards the trip I might start feeling a little better.

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who feels like this.
