I'm tired of MGM's Food

Have you ever gone to MGM, but went somewhere else for lunch?
I've eaten at Mama's, Sci-Fi, a couple of Fast food places and ABC Commissary and none of them appeal for this trip.(sigh)

What about taking the boat from MGM over to the Boardwalk or Beach Club? I have never done this because I like some of the MGM restaurants, but it looks like it might be a nice little boat ride and the Boardwalk and Beach Club have some great choices. Good Luck!

I hear you! Tried them all too. The only place we will return to is "50" PT.

We will be trying The Brown Derby on our up-coming trip. Once I'm in the park I'd rather not leave for lunch.

I couldn't agree more! Last time we tried Pizza Planet and found the food to be nothing special. Heard lots of good things about Beaches N Cream so that is what we are planning to do for this trip.

Don't forget Fresh at the dolphin..first stop on the boat from MGM and is suppose to be great for lunch.

We have only been able to try breakfast, it is excellent.
The lunch sounds wonderful.

Oh, forgot...we also ate at Brown Derby-which I loved....but this is a "budget" trip, so those $60 lunches are a "no-no".;)

"Fresh" sounds good!

I am so dumb! I never thought of leaving MGM by boat and going to the Boardwalk area. What a great idea! I really do not like MGM restaurants, either.

We enjoy Sci-Fi, but more for the atmosphere than the food(burgers and rings are pretty good). The rest of the dining at the Studios doesn't impress us much. Never tried Brown Derby, but really the theme doesn't do much for us.:earsboy:

We only eat at Brown Derby or Hollywood and Vine when we are MGM. Hollywood and Vine has great character interaction and the food is pretty good too. Brown Derby has some of the best Bloody Mary's around and just thinking about a Cobb Salad makes my mouth water! ::yes::

FYI - Hollywood and Vine is no longer a character buffet and now only serves dinner.

Good thing I prefer Brown Derby, LOL! :smooth:

Thanks for the info!
