Just thought I would share my day with you.

Our companys chosen charity for the next 3 years will be Cancer Research, so today our office organised a Pink Day to raise money for Breast Cancer, a charity that some of you may know is very dear to me.

Well we had a fantastic day,and raised just under £1000, I organised a quiz, Bingo and a raffle, everybody donated a prize and guess what, I won my own back, lovely pink candels, and everybody turned up wearing pink or something to do with the Breast Cancer charity, even the guys.

We had a lot of fun and raised money for a great cause at the same time, I have put a few photos of our day below for you to see.

Wow, I can't believe how much money you raised - that is fantastic!

I love the guy with pink hair especially - will it wash out? :earseek:

It looks like you had a great day :) :)

Sue you look like you've had a lot of fun while raising money for a worthy charity. Funnily enough, I am sitting here wearing my pink 'Tickle Me Pink' Asda top (and I've also got a black one and the pink wristband). Your photos are great too especially the guy with the pink hair. Well done to you all for raising sooo much money.

Well done Sue. Great cause and great commitment. No wonder you are happy :)

What a great start :cool1:

Looks like you had some fun too!

Well done sue, looks like you had lots of fun whilst raising lots of money for such a great charity. :goodvibes

That's a brilliant result Sue!! Well done!!! Love the wig and the bloke with pink hair - what a good sport!! :Pinkbounc

Well done Sue. It looks as though you all had a fantastic time and raised alot of money for such a worthwhile charity.

What a fantastic amount raised Sue, and it looks like you all had fun doing it!! Thanks for sharing your photos.

Cancer Research UK obviously does great work all year round but I'd like to give a little plug to the particular events they do at this time of year, specifically in aid of research into breast cancer. It looks like Sue's company has taken part in "All Work Together" - organsing a fundraising event at work. There's also "All Get Together" - organising a fundraising event with family and friends, and "All Walk Together" where you can join in with the sponsored walks held all over the country (you can choose the long or short walk so you don't need to be a fitness fanatic!!). Having done the walks I can say it's great fun and very successful.

More information on these events and other fundraising activities on www.cancerresearchuk.org

Hope you don't mind me plugging this on your thread Sue. You really do all look like you had a lot of fun!!

I dont mind at all, after having 2 members of my close family suffering with breast cancer, the more information that can go out the better.

Thanks
Sue

Looks like you had a really good day. Well done on raising so much money :)

Well done Sue! That is an amazing amount you all raised. My school (I'm a primary teacher) is having a pink day in late October. We are thinking of easy fund raising ideas right now and a pink raffle sounds good. We are doing ours in cunjunction with the Breast Cancer Care charity.

It's a cause very close to my heart also. I've been wearing my pink wristband since the day my mum was diagnosed, at the beginning of March. She had a mastectomy on the 13th and is still in hospital but doing well.

I thank you for all your effort in fundraising :goodvibes.
