ok, it may not be two words, but here is my predicament.... I am trying to think of the name of a disney resort that used to exist, but then it was either torn down, or re-named or re-done.... I want to say that it turned into Old Key West resort or Carribean Beach.... or I am going crazy and just making this up.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? My mom thinks that I am going crazy.... lol

I believe that the Disney Institute was turned into the Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa.

Dixie Landings was merged into it's sister resort, Port Orleans, to become Port Orleans:Riverside (not to be confused with Port Orleans: French Quarter).

Are you thinking of Dixie Landings, which is now known as Port Orleans Riverside? The only other one that I can think of is the Disney Inn, which is now Shades of Green. Does that help?

You could be thinking of the Tree Tops which then was renamed to the Disney Institute. They were located where Saratoga Springs is now. They demolished most of them, however there are still some that are up and you can see them still when you take the ferry to DTD from POR/POFQ. Those that are still up are mainly used for storage now. The only other resort I could think of is POR (Port Orleans Riverside) which used to be called Dixie Landings. This resort was merged with POFQ and then renamed to POR. Those are the only two changes that I can think of.

YES! Thank you! Dixie Landings..... that's what it was!

haha, i know it was a random question, thank you both!

Actually that would be the Treehouse Villas, and actually they are still there but not use except by Disney.

The area that was torn down was part of the Disney Village Resort, and included the Vacation Villas and Fairway Villas. It then became the Disney Institute and now Saratoga Springs.
