When I found out some of our good friends were planning a trip to US/IOA for the week of Christmas to New Years, I knew they needed some advice on how to deal with the crowds.
Little did I know just HOW crowded it would be this week!
A couple months ago I talked them into getting a night's room at the Royal Pacific, not just because it's a beautiful resort, but because of the FOTL passes and the early entry for HP.
They are: mom who needs some warmth and sun in the dead of the winter,
dad who has a strong aversion to crowds,
and three teenage boys (13, 14, 17) who are VERY big Harry Potter fans.
First time to US/IOA for them and I really wanted them to have a good time.
Although I will hear more tonight as we are spending New Years Eve with them, I was just told on the phone that I was the hero and they praised my name MANY times while at the parks this last Monday and Tuesday (12/26-27/11) when the parks were near or at capacity.
Yea! to planning ahead and all the great info I have learned on the DIS!!
