When I found out some of our good friends were planning a trip to US/IOA for the week of Christmas to New Years, I knew they needed some advice on how to deal with the crowds.

Little did I know just HOW crowded it would be this week!:scared1:

A couple months ago I talked them into getting a night's room at the Royal Pacific, not just because it's a beautiful resort, but because of the FOTL passes and the early entry for HP.:thumbsup2

They are: mom who needs some warmth and sun in the dead of the winter,
dad who has a strong aversion to crowds,
and three teenage boys (13, 14, 17) who are VERY big Harry Potter fans.

First time to US/IOA for them and I really wanted them to have a good time.
Although I will hear more tonight as we are spending New Years Eve with them, I was just told on the phone that I was the hero and they praised my name MANY times while at the parks this last Monday and Tuesday (12/26-27/11) when the parks were near or at capacity.

Yea! to planning ahead and all the great info I have learned on the DIS!!:disrocks:

We were there last week and loved FOL and EE into WWOHP. I don't think I could go again without them.

Drinking margarita's out of my butterbeer mug now. Wish I had more butterbeer though.

to stay onsite is always the way to go during a crowded time period.

I remember the first time we stayed onsite. We would laugh everytime we just walked past the crowds, it was so enjoyable. It is the best way to spend time at Universal!
