I'm thankful for...MICKEY!!! My Thanksgiving '08 TR!: TR Update, Last Day!

Great news on your ultrasound! Its amazing seeing that heartbeat for the first time! MeMom is right about the overwhelming love you have for your little one - its wonderful growing a bond during pregnancy and its even stronger when they finally decide to make an appearance and join us in this world!!! (I say fine as my little guy was 11 days late!!!)
HUGE Congratulations again! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Congrats on hearing the baby's heartbeat!! That's so amazing, I can't even imagine how excited you and your DH are. Are you guys going to find out the sex before that baby is born?

Congrats on hearing the heartbeat! You must be so excited!!! DH and I have been the same way with names keep coming up with them find something you like then change it. How have you been feeling?

So I had an appointment yesterday for an ultrasound.

Even though we had seen that the baby was in the right place last time, I was a little anxious about this ultrasound as it was possible that we would see a heartbeat today!

Keeping our fingers crossed, we went into the room for the ultrasound and we found a heartbeat! We saw the little heartbeat flickering on the screen. 128 beats per minute to be exact! I think the baby is 2.2 millimeters long at this point. Tiny little thing!

After seeing that, I feel like we can REALLY get excited now!

It's amazing to know that all of this is going on inside me. I love it!

I understand about being anxious to hear that little galloping heartbeat :thumbsup2 Yep, teensy-tiny - we called each our boys "the peanut" until I could feel them moving :rotfl2:

Oh, as for resting easy on the twin question because the doctor only heard one heartbeat, don't rest easy just yet. An u/s when you're a fair bit farther along will be more definitive. Don't shoot me, I'm just sayin'

Congratulations Julie!!!! I've been absent for a while, I know :(

But I was so happy to read your title update- congrats congrats congrats!

March is a good time for baby to come- plenty of time for walks w/the stroller after the snow melts to get rid of lbs!

I booked our hotel last week! :woohoo:

We're all set up for SIX NIGHTS at POP Century! This will be my longest Disney trip ever!!! I know to some of you, that's a short jaunt! :rotfl:

We will call POP home from November 27, 2008 to December 3, 2008.

We (I) chose POP because I know Gaston will be happy with the price! He and I stayed there on his only Disney trip, and we both liked it. Also, my friends and I stayed at AKL last trip and I felt so guilty the whole time because we didn't spend enough time at the hotel. It was such an amazing place and we didn't take the time to enjoy it. So value it is!

Gaston, his mom, and I will be flying on Southwest rapid reward credits, so we can't fly the day before Thanksgiving (blackout date). That means we'll be flying on Thanksgiving day. I think there's only one non-stop flight from Phoenix to Orlando each day, and that has us arriving at 4 or 5. Unfortunately, the Southwest flight schedule only goes till August right now, so we can't book the flights yet. I will be so happy when we can book those!!!

My parents will be flying from Chicago, so they'll have lots of options for flights. I miss those short flights from Chicago to Orlando!

We'll all be using Magical Express for the first time. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I'm nervous about them getting my luggage! Also, I like that the limos will stop at the grocery store on the way. But in the name of a less expensive trip, ME it is!

I can't make ADRs yet, but I'm already planning them! (I can't believe I started my PTR before I could make ADRs!)

Of course, we need to have a Thanksgiving dinner somewhere! Does anyone have any ideas where we should eat for Thanksgiving dinner? Oh, we won't have park hoppers for the first day, so it has to be somewhere not in a park.

As for plans for the dogs, we have yet to discuss where they'll stay. One thing I know for sure is that Roxy will have new things to add to her Disney collection after this trip!

That's it so far!

Our dog, Splinter, has the same collar!

PS-CONGRATS!!!!!!!!

Congratulations Julie!!!

I'm way behind on your TR but when I saw mousescrapper refer to you as "Mama Julie" I had to hop right over here to see what was going on!

That's such wonderful news - I'm so happy for you & your DH too. :goodvibes

Hi everyone!

Thanks for all the well wishes!

All is well with the baby, me, and DH. I will go today for another doctor appointment. No ultrasound today, but hopefully, we'll be able to hear the heartbeat on the doppler.

I've been SO SO SO tired and SO SO SO nauseated for the past month! The nausea I can deal with...it's really annoying, but not unbearable. The being tired, though, that's killing me! So, all my mommy friends, please tell me it's going to go away after week 12!

My little family has had some very busy times lately. DH went to Taiwan to visit his brother for 10 days, then I left for Las Vegas for my 30th birthday trip with my 3 dear girlfriends, then we had a big old 30th birthday bash for me Saturday. And I wonder why I'm tired...

DH and I are talking names and we're getting close to deciding. With my indecisiveness, however, I'm sure the name choices will change several times between now and March 30!

I hope all is well with all of you!

Hi Julie,

Glad to hear you and baby are well...despite the "wonderful" blessings that come along w/ being pregnant ;)

Yes that tired phase does get better...can't say so much right at 12 weeks...but you will be on an up trend w/ feeling better till about 30 weeks or so then you will tired again....

hang in there..the fun parts of being pregnant are coming soon!

Julie (too) :lovestruc

Again, Jordan is a great name for both a girl or a boy. It's a popular name, but rarely in the top 10 names of the year....Just sayin;)

Hi, Julie! So glad to hear everything is going well with you and the baby! Yes, the tiredness goes away during the middle part of the pregnancy. :goodvibes

That's right; by the second trimester you'll be good as gold!

Hi Julie!! So great to see you on here. Happy Belated Birthday. I hope you had a great time in Vegas. Bill and I are talking about going there in the spring so if you have any tips please share.

I can not wait for the fun parts of being pregnant! The icky stuff is annoying, but it will absolutely be worth it in the end.

I keep telling myself that all of you moms of more than one went through all of this while dealing with other young children. I just have a job, a husband, and dogs to take care of, so I should be able to deal just fine!

Again, Jordan is a great name for both a girl or a boy. It's a popular name, but rarely in the top 10 names of the year....Just sayin;)

I agree, Jordan is a wonderful name for either a boy or girl. However, we already have a Jordan in the family, so we have to stay away from it! With 50 cousins on my dad's side, there are a lot of names that are off limits!

Thanks Jackie!

I can't wait for the tiredness to go away. I feel bad for all my patients lately. I just don't have the same energy. I'm excited for the real Julie to come back!

That's right; by the second trimester you'll be good as gold!

Yay!!!

Hi Julie!! So great to see you on here. Happy Belated Birthday. I hope you had a great time in Vegas. Bill and I are talking about going there in the spring so if you have any tips please share.
