We were in bed by 11 p.m. after a full day at MK and we set the alarm for 6:40 for the next morning.
I jumped out of bed when the alarm rang and jumped into the shower. Surprisingly, it only took me 2 tries to get DH out of bed! Today was the day that I would have a DIS meet, so I was careful in choosing my attire for the day. A Mickey and Minnie shirt seemed the perfect choice!
DH and I headed to the food court for breakfast. We brought bagels and peanut butter from our room and DH purchased a fruit bowl and some yogurt. And of course, we had some delicious apple juice from the soda fountain.
We were in line for the bus at 8:15 and ALMOST everyone was there! Everyone except my dad. My mom said that he hadn't had enough coffee yet

and would meet us at the park later. My brother and sister in law were looking pretty tired this morning. They both LOVE their sleep and I was wondering how many more rope drops they would make it to on this trip...
It took FOREVER for the bus to arrive. I started to get a little bit nervous because I wanted so badly to get to Epcot for rope drop! Finally, the bus arrived

and we all found seats.
We got through the turn-styles and bag check without incident and "walked" very quickly over to the right side of Spaceship Earth. Our target this morning was Soarin'. Soon, cast members came out with Minnie, Mickey, and some other characters. It is SO cute to see all the kids' faces when they see the characters!
Pretty soon, it was time for the countdown. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 AND THEY'RE OFF!
We tried VERY hard to walk rather than run, but that proved to be VERY difficult. We MIGHT have broken into a jog several times, but we quickly returned to a walk!
There it is!
DH and I grabbed everyone's keys to the world and got into the fastpass lines. OF COURSE I got behind the lady who was getting six thousand fastpasses! She took forever, but I finally got the fastpasses and we got into the standby line. We had a very short wait!
Here we are waiting! See how tired my brother (on the left) looks?
DH and me! I was very happy that we made it for rope drop. DH was, um, your guess is as good as mine!
It's almost time!
Soon, it was time to strap ourselves into our seats and prepare for takeoff. The feeling that Soarin gives me is difficult to articulate. Flying over all of those gorgeous places, smelling the wonderful smells...I just love it!
DH and I got married at Yosemite National Park, so I always look for us as we fly over Yosemite on Soarin. I haven't seen us yet though!
After Soarin, we decided to skip Living with the Land. It's not one of my favorites. So I *might* have swayed the rest of the family to skip it!
DH spotted some real coffee in Sunshine Seasons, so my brother, SIL, mom, and DH got some espresso. Then DH and I took everyone's keys to the world and ran over to get Test Track FPs for later. This gave everyone (except DH) a chance to enjoy their coffee without me rushing them! Then, DH and I met up with everyone at the Seas. My dad called just as we were walking into Turtle Talk with Crush and said he had arrived at the park and would meet us after Turtle Talk.
We had great timing for Turtle Talk because it was just starting, so we walked right in and grabbed some seats and watched the cutest show ever! Crush cracks me up every time! And the kids that ask questions are hilarious.
After the show, we found my dad and looked around at all the sea life. We checked out the rescued manatees.
There was a dolphin that swam right over by us and hung around for a while. We also saw sea turtles, divers, icky eels, and a shark!
Here's the blurry shark
This was the most time I had ever spent looking at all the sea creatures in the Seas and it was wonderful. To me, that is one of the many advantages of doing rope drop. Getting there early and getting those fastpasses really allows one to slow down and enjoy the rest of the park in between fastpass times.
Next, it was time to head over to the Imagination Pavilion...
And I'll have to finish later. My friend is about to arrive. We're going to Target and Trader Joe's. Two of my favorite stores!
