I'm thankful for...MICKEY!!! My Thanksgiving '08 TR!: TR Update, Last Day!

How many table services do you have scheduled?

We do it simply for convenience -- from what I have read if you typically do a lot of CS or buffets, you do not break even.

We only have 2 TS scheduled.

We typically do almost all CS for time and money saving reasons.

But the dining plan sounds like a good excuse to do more TS meals.

I don't know, though, if I would like to be tied down to ADRs.

I'm confused!

I need some advice.

I talked to my mom tonight and she was asking me about the dining plan (which we have not chosen to do). After discussing this for a while, we were both left wondering "Should we do it?"

My question is this: Is it worth it to pay for the dining plan? :confused3

I simply can not decide.

I think it is. A couple of your meals and one of your snacks per day will be prepaid. Plus it gives you an excuse to try some great ts restaurants.

Well, it would be one TS a day, and you already have two planned, so how many other days do you have?

Then, of course you get a snack credit and a CS for each day. It is nice to not have to worry about what you are ordering and just hand over your KTTW card.

We truly adore the dining plan.

It does not include your tips though.

I know I wouldn't normally try a lot of the TS restaurants, so this would definitely give me a reason...

I guess we would need to make 4 more TS ADRs. It would probably take me till November to decide where we (I) want to eat!

It would be so nice to just order without thinking about money.

Hmmm....

I have another question...

Is it possible to have an ADR for 6 people when only 4 of them would be on the dining plan? I doubt that my brother and sister-in-law would be able to afford the dining plan.

See, those are two good reasons right there! :thumbsup2

Have you looked at the menus on allears to see if there are places you would want to eat?

You have Boma and Crystal Palace right now, right?

I'm sure it's possible. They could just split the check or just put the cost of the food for two people on the bill.

Yep, Boma and Crystal Palace. How did you remember that, Jackie?!? You're amazing!

I am looking at Allears and my Passporter right now (in between reading and posting on the DIS.) :rotfl:

If you decide to do the dining plan and want to add an ADR, the Garden Grill in Epcot is a great character meal. The food is good and it isn't crazy busy.

Yes, they would probably just do two bills -- one for your brother and SIL and the other for the rest of you. I can't imagine that would be a problem at all.

That sounds like it should be easy enough.

And that way, my bro and SIL could share some of our stuff and not have to order as much for themselves. Cuz there ain't no way we can eat all that food!

Disney details -- they just stick in my head! Actually, I remembered that you made a CP reservation because you couldn't get LTT, and Boma -- well, you know how I feel about Boma! :goodvibes

Teppan Edo is a great place to eat and LOTS of fun! Like the whole atmosphere was so great -- I could totally see you getting into it!

That would be perfect. It is a lot of food. We did deluxe dining in January and I was full after the appetizer. I really didn't touch my food or dessert.

Okay, now I just have to talk to DH about the dining plan. Money is going to be the big factor with him.

If only I knew how to make a spreadsheet, I would whip one up to show him the benefits of the dining plan. (Engineers (especially my engineer) love spreadsheets!)

I just got a nice raise at work today, so that should help!

Is the Teppan Edo recommendation foreshadowing what's the come in your tr? Hmmm....

Teppan Edo sounds awesome. I love love love Japanese restaurants. Is it just one credit?

You have a great memory!

That's one thing that is holding me back from really jumping on the dining plan. There is NO WAY we can eat all that food.

But it would be so much fun to try!

Congrats on the raise!!!

Have you ever been to 1900 Park Fare? Breakfast is fantastic. It's hosted by Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Tigger, and Pooh. Weird combo of characters, but the food is great.

And there's Kona!!! So many options!

You can all order different things and try a little of each, like your own private buffet.

Or you can do buffet and family style meals.

It's nice to be able to order whatever you want, even though you may not eat it all. Just save room for dessert!

Oh! Kona! The food porn I've seen from Kona looks divine!!!!

I'll have to look into 1900 Park Fare.

I haven't really been to many TS places at all!
