I am planning a quick trip to WDW May 18-22 and here's the shocking part -- only ONE ADR for the entire trip!!! We were last there for the half marathon in January and were there in December right before that so we are bit over the table service thing. I'm looking for suggestions on quick pick up type meals. I'm thinking maybe the bakery on Main St. for breakfast and Columbia Harbor House for lunch at MK, fish and chips at Epcot and either Tusker House or Flame tree at AK. We will be visiting all of the parks. Our one ADR is for our AK day dinner. We are going to Raglan Road and then PI after. Any other ideas?

Well all of your choices sound good what you just want one sit down meal are you just trying to enjoy the parks this time without being tied down to a dinner??
By the way i live in Winston Salem, nc and am a panthers fan too!!!! :cheer2:

Your choices look good so far!

When DH and I don't do ADRs/superplanning, we generally rely on shooting over to Epcot in the evenings for counter service dinners. We've gotten nice sandwiches at the cafe in Norway and nice platters/sandwiches at Tangerine Cafe in Morocco. Skip over to France's pattiserie shop for a quick dessert :)

We haven't been to Raglan Road yet, but Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express are quick, easy and economical choices for DTD that don't require an ADR.

Hope you have a blast!

I've been wanting to try the Tangerine Cafe. Thanks for reminding me! Any other ideas out there?

You are sooooooooooooooooooo brave! ;)

We love Kringla Bakeri in Norway. And I've always wanted to try Morrocco's CS. Although we like Pizza Planet, it is definitely fast food eating. Slim pickings in the Studio's park.

Be sure to let us know how you make out! :goodvibes

Hopefully you won't run into too much crowds. We were there the week before Xmas and the counter service lines the day we were in MGM were horrible. Easy 45 min to 1 hr waits, at every counter service place!! It was unbelieveable! You shouldn't run into problems in mid-May I hope. But, I do agree with Earl of Sandwich if you're at DTD other than when you go to RR and PI. Tusker House is a good choice for lunch in AK.

When we last went in May 2004 we didn't have any ADR's. I personally don't like to be tied down to specific parks or specific plans on set days...I'm much more of a weather channel girl!!! Love to go down, look at the week's weather and plan my park days and down days by that. That being said, we had two character breakfasts (one at Ohana's and one at Cape May) and one character dinner (at Gullivers? in the Swan) and didn't have any problems getting these reservations within a day or two of making the phone call. This time, I only have ADRs for Cindy's (as there is NO WAY we would have gotten in there without an ADR) and am going to try for dinner/Fantasmic reservations in the next day or two. The crowds in May are usually not that bad and there are too many restaurants in WDW that I want to try to get too specific!!!
Have fun and I'll see you there (we'll be there 5/11 thru 5/22 :yay: )

Season's in the Land has some pretty decent counter service food. I finally tried Chakranandi Chicken Shack in AK last Dec & it wasn't too shabby either. Not much selection, but I like my noodle salad & potstickers. I love the Tuna Sandwich at Columbia Harbour House. The Cabana Bar & Grill at the Dolphin has great burgers.

We were doing a quickie trip with no plans, but I like finer dining too much & wound up making ressies over the last week. I don't ever feel tied down by dinner plans. If we get too busy & don't make it, I call & cancel, no big deal. But I like having the option of a good meal.

I'm getting a little concerned about MGM. Everybody is giving me great ideas for other parks but nothing for MGM except Pizza Planet. I think I heard there was something new added recently but I'm not sure what. I also liked the hot dog stand and turkey leg place near RRC. Anything I've missed?

Don't even think about getting decent CS food in MGM. It ain't gonna happen. I have no idea why MGM is the Black Hole of Disney Dining, but it is. You can make do with something from Starring Rolls & some fruit from the Produce Co.. Best bet is to leave MGM to eat....
