I'm sure this has been asked 1000 times, but re: Photopass+...

I searched around, and I'm sure I've missed this in a million different threads, but...

I purchased a Photopass + voucher (yay!), and will be headed to DLR two weeks from today! Where do I trade my voucher for the "real deal" card & lanyard? Do I actually have to go into a park, or is there somewhere at a resort hotel or in DTD I can redeem my voucher?

Gracias! Yay! :yay:

As far as I know, the only places you can redeem are in the park. Either at the Main Street Photo Shop on Main Street in Disneyland, or at Kingswell Camera in DCA. Have fun! :goodvibes

This is the case.
If you have a hotel character meal planned before you get your PP+ card, you need to purchase the photo package at the restaurant. Bring your receipt with you and they will provide a refund when you pick up your card.

Or let the person know that you got the PP+ card (show your voucher) and they will give you information that you can provide to the Photo shop to get your prints printed out there.

There have been reports on the PP+ thread where this is not taking place and the guest loses the picture.

Does this mean one should buy the photo and get reimbursed?

Please purchase the package and take your receipt to the photoshop. The photogs at GK told us to get our prints put on the card the next day as we hadn't entered the park yet. When we got to the photoshop on Main Street, the ladies told us there we were supposed to have purchased the package and taken the receipt to them to be reimbursed.

You have to be in the park to redeem your voucher.

buuut, my experience with the character dining photo is different than the PPs have stated. I had my voucher still (hadn't had a chance to redeem it at the photo shop on Main St yet) and when they came to our table with the souvenir photo, I mentioned I had a photopass+ and she told me she'd leave my photo at the shop on Main St, and I could redeem my voucher there and claim my photo.

So, I did. And everything was smooth, they handed me the card and lanyard, went through a box of photos and gave me mine. It might be safer to just buy it and get a refund but, I didn't do that, and I was fortunate enough to claim my picture. :)

Thank you all so much! I do indeed have a character meal the first evening we will be there, and don't plan to enter the parks until the next day.

If we do a character meal before getting the actual PP+, do the digital prints get put into our account? Or do we only get the hard copy picture?

Thanks again!

We did both GK and Surf's Up before we entered the park to pick up our Photopass+. DH gave the CM at the photoshop on Main Street our two receipts and they added our pictures to our disk. We just downloaded our pics today and those two meals were on it. We were there November 14-20

With all the ride closures coming up, the character meals are becoming more and more important to the itinerary. Loving PP+.

The printed photo we received wasn't on my photopass+ card until I got home. Then I read on the photopass website that printed on the largest photo is a number, you can enter it on the website and voila! it's added to your gallery.

Just like magic! princess:

What about the pictures of the rides that take photos if that makes sense? If I don't want to get photo pass + first thing in the morning do I just take picture of photo with the # or how do I ensure those pictures will be added o photo pass +? Thanks

Get your ride photo number. When you get your photopass+ go back to the ride and have it put on the card. This can also be fine at either photoshop but the older rides - splash mountain and space - it takes a little longer. Also newer rides such as RSR, the pics are in their computer for quite a while but the older rides, the systems are older and they generally purge the photos at the end of the night. I learned a ton of lessons this past trip! ;)

I would just stop in the photo shop first thing. That's what I did, actually. Easy and no worries about adding things later on.

After you ride, get your ride photo # (I took a snap shot with my cell phone) then go to the picture kiosk and have them add it onto your PP+ card. I waited until the end of my 4th day, when I rode Splash or Space for what I knew was our last ride, I added all the Space/Splash photos at once.

also, when I got home I realized I forgot to add a ToT photo, and I emailed PP+ guest services and they added it for me. I had great luck and magical CM's I guess!

It's such an improvement over the past Photopasses...

A tip to make using it easier- DH had a lanyard for holding our Parkhoppers and FPS. He put our photo pass on the outside with the barcode up so all they had to do was scan it from his lanyard whenever we wanted a picture...:thumbsup2
