There are definitely a number of legit sites depending on what you are looking for.
Surveys v. Rewards
Straight survey sites would be sites like Pinecone and MySurveys. You do nothing but take different opinion surveys there. Sometimes you are trying products and telling your opinions. They are a great way to get free samples, make a little extra money, and try out new products. Buzz Agent is a little like that, too, except that you do not get paid. You get points and products (and the points can now be used for gift cards at Mypoints). All of the above are totally legit. NEVER pay for access to survey sites.
Rewards sites are a combination of shopping, surfing, and surveys. Ones that I can vouch for off of the top of my head that are totally legit are Quick Rewards, Creation Rewards, Sunshine Rewards, and MyPoints. There are others as well, but those are the ones that get talked about the most here and the ones that I would personally vouch for being on the up and up. With those sites, you are getting paid to take surveys but also click on banners, read emails, etc. I know that Mypoints only pays in gift cards and QR and SR pay in both gift cards in Paypal. I'm not 100% sure about CR anymore. But you can't go wrong with giving any of them a try.
You won't make tons of money, but it can add up if you do things consistently. Plus, if you combine a rewards site or two with some survey sites, you'll be getting gift cards AND free products!
