Leaving in a month and heading to BWV for 5 nights! So excited. I am sure this is somewhere, but can someone tell me what time the parks are actually opening for resort guests now. Epcot has an 11:00 opening time but I am seeing people get in at 10:00 a.m. Wondering what time we should start heading from BWV to walk over the Epcot in the morning and HS the next morning.

Thank you!

The parks are typically opening 45-60 minutes before posted opening.

Have a great trip!

That's awesome! Thank you. So it's like EMH but not really EMH, I guess.
It’s really not much like EMH.
Nothing is formalized or scheduled.
Hit-or-miss at this point.

Basically you can get in early and mill about. If a ride is open, great but don't expect it?

I am building my daily touring plans and trying to get a grasp on the early openings.
  • Are all 4 parks opening 45 to 60 minutes early?
  • Are buses and the skyliner running early enough to get guests there by that time?
  • And I know I can't count on it, but are any rides consistently open during that hour? I'm specifically hoping for Runaway Railway in HS and Flight of Passage in AK.
TIA!

I hope someone can help answer this question. I came on the site looking for the exact same thing. :)

I'll answer as best I can, but I encourage everyone who wants to be up to date on this to check out the here now and just back thread:

1. Generally speaking, yes, they are all opening about that early. Each day can vary slightly, but this has become the norm.

2. For the most part, yes, but people are reporting showing up 75-90 minutes early (before official park opening) to be first in line or near first in line for the bus. Remember, reduced capacity bus could mean longer waits to get to the park.

3. In most cases, and again, this varies by day, the headline attractions in each park are opening before sometime during the early opening time.

HS - MMRR, SDD, mfsr, tot, rncc, RotR have all seen early openings, though the first 3 are usually more consistent.
AK - Pandora rides are usually open early, not sure about any others.
Epcot - test track, Frozen, and Soarin I believe have opened early, not sure of others.
MK - mostly just 7dmt and PPF.

The link I shared has reports almost daily from people in the parks detailing their experience for the day, so as your trip gets closer, it helps to check in and see what's changed or currently happening at park opening including unofficial opening, transportation, and rides that were available pre-official opening if they were there for that.

Thank you!! Definitely keeping an eye on that Here Now, Just Back thread. I think I need to skim a chunk of it just for morning experiences. Appreciate the response!

Yeah, going back a week or two will get ya caught up on the latest. Things are constantly in flux so it's good to check in at least periodically until your trip to catch any changes in procedure as well. Happy planning!

Thank you for the information! I will be heading to the here now and just back thread since we fly out on Thursday. I am so excited. I haven't had my Disney fix since last March. :)

Have a great trip! I think next weekend is supposed to be busier than it has been recently, but hopefully not to bad. Hope you're able to do everything you're wanting to do.

It won't be published anywhere, but gates usually open 1 hour before the opening time. Some rides will open 30 minutes early.
