I just checked the weather forecast for Friday morning (shopping, you know). It's going to be 45 degrees! I said to myself "jeez, that's cold", but then thought about all you folks in the north. I am such a whiner. I will now appreciate the fact that I live in Texas.

Geez - you are whiny, aren't you?? Do you want some cheese to go with that whine?? :charac2:

;) I'm just teasing you! I can take a lot of the cold -- but I often wonder how the folks in New England and Canada (and Iceland and Alaska!) tolerate the extreme temperatures that they get. :cold:

It was around 28 degrees here today -- I haven't even checked to see what the temp in now.

Yep, you are whining :rotfl:

45 degrees is BARELY jacket weather. Maybe just a hoodie?

It snowed this morning a little bit, and it was down in the low 30s. I did put mittens on, but still no coat..

Deb - you're a freak! No coat??

It was 28 here today - I thought I was hardy for walking the dog for a mile with a coat and mittens, but no hat!

but, but, but. I had on jeans, wooly socks, hikers, a tshirt, turtle neck, and big wool sweater. AND mittens.

It's OK, really. And I freely admit I used the remote starter on my car, so by the time I brushed the car off, the inside was roasty-toasty warm.

I'm a FREAK????? :confused3 :rotfl:

Actually Pam where I live in Canada most of Michigan and Wisconsin and many other northern states get much colder than we do they also get much more snow than we do in Southern Ontario our weather is much like Ohio and PA for most of the lower region where I am. It was 26 degrees here today.

Love the violin smilie!!!

As I've aged (and I'm only 37), I don't tolerate the cold well. Used to LOVE cold weather! Now it's almost painful.

Though I was born in Texas, I spent most of my younger years in northern states, like CT, OH, IL, NY. Even OK was pretty chilly. We had snow there every winter. I moved back to TX when I was 13.

Ok, I've realized and admitted that I'm a whiner. Now I shall turn from my wicked ways.

I have NO clue what you are insinuating!

;)

Okay - those were a lot of layers you were wearing! :)

Charles - I forgot to mention the UP on Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota and North Dakota - they do get cold temps, don't they?

For some reason Canada just brings to mind the vision of cold weather! :cold:

It is a whole 21º right now the wind chill is 12ºF :cold: and snow is on the way. :(

We just finally got snow tonight but it probably won't stick around it is supposed to warm up and rain by the weekend. I find it funny how many people from teh US associate Canada and winter it makes me laugh. Now if you want cold and winter then you are talking Nanavut and the North West Territories they are up near Alaska and that is cold and winter. The east vcoast gets lots of snow and cold also out in PEI and Newfoundland and Quebec.

Charles,
It actually was the PEI area that automatically came to my mind.

We had a dusting last night and it is still around. Unless it has changed they were calling for a few inches late tonight.

It was actually cool here in South Florida last night. It was about 48 degrees and what do my sister and I do? We went to the drive in to see Harry Potter. We set up chairs and sat outside!!! We were pretty chilly by the time the 2 hour 38 min movie was over... lol
