Today, the K classes at DD's school had their annual K performance. It was soooo cute and the kids did so well! The teachers had been rehearsing with the children for months in preparation for the performance.
The teachers put so much effort into it...
What makes me a sap?
Well...
The children were all lined up outside of the cafeteria waiting to come in to do their performance. As DH and I were walking in to take our seats in the cafetorium, it hit me. DD has grown so much this year... The theme of the performance was "Get up and Grow...". Isn't that appropriate? I told myself that I wouldn't cry, but when the children came in singing, as they walked toward the stage.... well, I couldn't hold back the tears anymore. DH turned to me and said, "I figured that by now (being that DD is the youngest of 3), you wouldn't get so emotional". Then, he got teary eyed...
The kids were so beautiful on the stage, singing and dancing. There is just something special about seeing children so happy and having fun... They grow up too fast...
Thanks for listening!
