I agree with disnee...its really annoying and it takes a long time to load (even for me with DSL). so please respect others and the smilies. they lose the cute effect if you over-use them.

maybe, maybe not. When i was new, long time ago ( not realy THAT long ) i didnt use any smilies. I thought they were evil ( LOL) no i just didnt like them.

There is no rule anywhere in the DIS guidelines about overuse of smilies.
Posters may use any amount of smilies they wish WITHOUT having to worry about someone coming after them because the moderators will not.
Yes, an incredible amount of smilies can be hard for people with slow connection speeds but I don't want new posters to not use the smilies for fear of getting chased after.
