Im starting an official Droid App request page

Verizon and motorola are releasing the new droid phone called the Devour! Can't wait

Hmm...I'll have to look at that one. Maybe if I tell the boss to get me this instead of a Droid, he won't balk at it because of his perception of the cost... :)

Just as an FYI for those who keep bringing up the Verizon/ATT service debate.

The Android platform is on most if not all networks, its not exclusive to Verizon. Most people assume that Driod is a Verizon platform when in fact other networks have had it well before them. Verizon put out a huge marketing campaign for their driods boosting their popularity as an legitimate iphone competitor.

I have the driod phone through Verizon and I'm very happy with it. If available I would 100% purchase the E-Ticket App!

Totally correct...Android is provider-agnostic, similar to Blackberry and Palm. The biggest issue is in supporting the variable versions of Android out there now, and their variable configurations (screen sizes, orientations, etc.)

the droid is only 2 ounces heavier than the i-phone, small price to pay for a slide qwerty keyboard and actual service that works. After holding an ipod touch, grab an iphone, quite a bit heavier for sure! you cant compare touch to droid on weight.

ATT service sucks too. if you break an iphone, get ready to waste another 300 bucks. Verizon always swaps on site. Thats why Verizon will never carry the iphone, their customer service will kill Apple's sales of replacement crap. no matter what the blogs say, verizon will never carry the iphone.

sorry to double post, but i was just thinking, a perfect answer for us "DISHEADS" would be if WDW caught up with the times and went WIFI throughout the parks and resorts!!!

As long as we're waiting for Eticket for Android, does anyone have any android Disney apps they like? I am using Lines but would like to have a trip organizer where I could put itinerary info.

Thanks!

pete, please make an android eticket app!! please!!!

Add me to the list as I have a Sprint Hero and have been a long time Sprint/Nextel customer. I believe in a year or so the Google/android operating system will surpass the iphone app because it is available to so many carriers. "Open source" is the future.

I am in the same boat as many, Droid and iPod Touch user. Would LOVE the eTicket app for Android!

Is there Disney apps on the Android Market? You mentioned 'Lines,' which is part of touringplans.com, is that correct? Do you find this app helpful on your Android phone?

I saw something that Verizon may be championing in order to have VZW users have the new iPad and use the Verizon service. If you use Verizon's MiFi you can use the non-3G iPad or your touch (in theory) to have internet access. Does anyone use MiFi on Verizon - do you think it is worth it?

Pete my droid feels lonely without eticket won't you help a phone out? :confused3

Yes, it is part of Touringplans.com. I have it on my Sprint Hero and although I won't be there til May, it looks like a great program. I check it all the time to see what is going on with wait times. Only $8.95 for a whole year plus full access to the website features. WDW Lines on Market. :thumbsup2

Look at whats happening!!! :scared1:

You are taking so long coming out with an Android eticket, people are starting to use other apps. Hurry up or you will lose this market!!

Cmon Pete!!

Lines is fun to watch the reported wait times. For instance, I just logged in and there are reported wait times of 130 minutes on Test Track (it was down for a while), Buzz is 60 minutes, Pirates 40, HM is 50, BTM 57 minutes...etc. But I see the wait for the Fairies meet and greet is only 16 minutes. So I guess if I were at the parks we would head over there. :confused3

So I can see it's a very crowded day today!!! So is this helpful? I'll have to see how it helps at the parks. Right now it's making me a bit nervous about my trip starting this Friday!

Would also LOVE to have this for the android. I am also a Sprint Hero user. I'm going to have to check out this WDW Lines though... Any other disney apps for droid out there?

There is a lines app called park hopper. Same idea as wdwlines except no statistcal backup and all the other stufff touring plans has added to it. PH, is esentially a user reprted line tool. Most are over 120 min old, so not great but it does have m,any many other parks. Soo......
