I'm starting a Texas thread!!

i've noticed a lot of people on the boards are from texas. I go out to Dallas often enough to see my family.
I think its pretty. And i'd love to see the gardens there in the dallas area. My aunt has pics of my cousion whe she was little in there. It looks like its even prettier than flower and garden festival.

But florida will forever be home for me. Even if texas is a cool state to visit.

I guess you're talking about the dallas arboretum? Dallas Blooms is amazing there...so many gorgeous flowers and plants!
The Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth are also really nice.

Not a Texan here, but visited a few times. We've been to Dallas, Fort Worth and the San Antonio area.

I love the food down there. You have so many restaurants that have been featured on Diners, Dives and Drive-Ins (yes - I check beforehand and map out where all these dining establishments are).

My son and I loved Schlitterbahn (the New Braunfels location). The older side is so cool how each ride lasts for like 30 minutes and feeds out into a natural river.

Billy Bob's was another favorite - a bull riding arena inside a honky tonk, mechanical bull, etc.

I'm into historical places, so I was all into the Spanish Missions around San Antonio.

It's such a huge state. So many more places in it to visit.

I'm from West Texas (born and raised and still live here)

What I don't like about Texas is the weather, I'm constantly sick because it changes so much and don't even get me started on the winds!

What I like about Texas is:
H-E-B (if I ever move out of state I will be so sad)
That it is a huge state and there is so much to see and do.

I also have to admit I've never taken a picture of or with the bluebonnets.

I may be in the minority here, but I love that fact that our Gubner jogs WITH a pistol and killed a menacing coyote while doing so.
