When does your son have time from school, spring break, easter? What about going this summer? If you wait until November, you are going to drive yourself and the DISers crazy.

I have had many trips to disney planned in the past. You know how many times I've been, ONCE. Things do not always go as planned but you can not let them get you down.

I took the DVC tour when I was there. My son feel in love with the Beach Club, I love the BoardWalk. Did I join? Nope, because I can't afford to right now.

Do I get upset and make post after post about how unfair things are?

No, I come here to read about others plans and their trips. I come here to see all the great pictures that are posted. I come here to find out what new things are going on in the "world", get new tips and ideas that I can use when I get back there.

I know someday I'll get to go back to Disney. Someday I may even be able to join DVC. Until then I'll enjoy this and the many other disney sites.

Barb, in the entire history of DCL they have only cancelled ONE cruise, and unfortunately it was yours. They did have the Magic DELAYED originally when they first began sailing, and guess what, I got BUMPED then and had to totally replan my vacation. And I "only" got a 25% discount then.

Now, you asked to help you get excited for your next cruise. We'd all be HAPPY to do that, but first you need to let go of the fact that your last cruise was cancelled. Plus it's a tad too soon to be thinking about your next one, quite honestly. Wait until a few months before, when it is more real, and then come back here and read all the latest news and updates from those who have sailed. I'm sure that will help you gain excitement for your upcoming cruise.

If you have other trips planned before then I would focus on those and get excited about them. I know that's what I do. I don't have another cruise planned until next December but I'm looking forward to spring and summer trips elsewhere.

Can I be the first to vote to close this thread so the rest of us don't continue to fall into her pity party trap. imho this whole matter really belongs on the community board (as suggested earlier, either here or on another of her whining oh-poor-me threads). Or maybe on the debate board. Wouldn't the flamethrowers there have fun with her

GET OVER IT!!! I am sorry but there are children starving and being abused and people suffering and countries going to war. I USE to be more like you I obessed over everything and took everything as a slight but COME ON!!!

My mom had a stroke at the young age of 56 and is paralyzed on her right side. THAT IS NOT FAIR!!!

I was diagnosed with melanoma at the age of 28 years old....THAT IS NOT FAIR!!!

My father in law passed away from a massive heart attack a few days before Christmas...THAT IS NOT FAIR!!!

I had a anuerysm at 36 weeks pregnant and the baby and I have spent the last 18 months fighting to live. I was dead and they brought me back to life. I missed holding my baby for 6 months, feeding him, bathing etc. THAT IS NOT FAIR!!!

My Uncle is is on the losing end of cancer and will not make it much longer. Another Aunt is in the final stages of lung cancer and never smoked a day in her life....THAT IS NOT FAIR!!!!

My whole neighborhood and husband is deploying to IRAQ....THAT IS NOT FAIR!!!

There is someone being beaten, someone starving, someone being diagnosed with a terminal illness.

I really am sorry you had bad luck and your cruise was ruined and I really hope for your mental stability you get to go again but get a grip.

Your cancellation was unfortunate but recoverable.

Life is what you make it. As long as you have life you have choices! I have been through so much in my 33 years and the best lesson I have learned is be glad to be alive. I will never forget being wheeled out of my hospital room after being on life support for months and I tell you what I will never forget the sun shining on me and the tears running down my face!

You are being flamed. Get your life and priorities into perspective!

This is your reaction over a cancelled cruise, how would you cope if your child died.

Life is full of disappointments, it's our reaction to them that matters.

There is absolutely NOTHING in life that compares to the death of a child - and many of us bereaved parents chose to survive and find the good/positive in what's left to us.

He is very fortunate being an only child that we can afford to take him many places his friends never can go to. That one child in particular has two siblings and the family simply could not afford to do even a catagory 11. When we told our son we are going to book cruise number four in a week his reply was, "that will be cool but I don't think I'll tell Mike A about it, I feel bad for him-when I was showing my class the poster (his homework assignment) he looked real sad". Yup my son's a keeper! Over-prividged and does not even know it.

Come on!!!!!!!!! No one forced you to stay in Florida at DISNEY for a week! (how horrible a week at Disney that is my mother in law's dream-she had never been!) You could have kept your points and stayed home! My goodness I think you should not bother planning any trip anywhere anytime because you never know what could happen! Nothing is gaurenteed! You got a trip to disney and half off another cruise stop complaining already-I know MANY people who would love to be in your position!

I can't believe after buzz&woody'smom's post you continue to gripe, imgoingtodisney. Didn't someone point out that you are getting 2 vacations for less than what 2 vacations would normally cost? Get a grip! Don't be so selfish! I feel sorry for your son and husband. They deserve a gold medal for living with someone so self-absorbed.
