We get like 20 of these '' I'm gonna leave the DIS. It's so dramatic. Throw me a pity party about how much you love me" threads.

And then 2 days later it's changed to "I'm staying. But i'm still not happy."

If you're gonna leave, don't be dumb about it. Leave.
If you're gonna stay, then stay.
If you just want attention... don't make a thread about it. It's frustrating. And takes up space.
For peoples' pity parties.
Sorry.
But. I'm fed up with them.

I mean, it happens all the time.
People (including me) spend too much tim eon the DIS in the summer, and it just gets overdramatic.
Which causes people to react dramatically.

I respect them for being the bigger person and stepping out, but we don't need a million threads on it.
Maybe we could get a communal goodbye thread made sticky and everyone could just post their farewells there...

Yeah I just basically posted the same thing on one of the leaving threads.
They pretty much just want attention, and want posts of people saying OMG PLEASE DON'T LEAVE...if you want to leave, just leave. PM your friends because not everyone wants to hear about it.
It's common sense, if you want to leave, don't make a post fishing for people to beg you to stay.
It really gets on my nerves.

Its easy to take breaks too. Personally I've been trying to avoid the drama here. If you go away for a few days, or make your visits less frequent, then the drama becomes less noticable because you are out of the loop a bit.

But come on its so annoying when people are like "Im leaving, say your goodbyes, Its too dramatic here" and then a few hours later theres a thread titles "IM BACK".

I posted one of these on a different message board. I left because truly that message board was getting horrible and mean and other boards were spamming us with not so cool thing. I have yet to see anything near that on here. But i do agree that its kinda lame to post a thread saying i'm leaving just for attention

Atleast they let you KNOW they might leave..instead of just abandoning you.
Like if you had something you needed to say or wanted to keep in contact.

I'll post a "goodbye/wish me luck" thread before my surgury, but that's it.

And I'm leaving for a medical reason, not a "I wanna be dramatic and get attention so GOODBYE!" reason.

And it won't be for attention, just so that anyone who will be concerned about me will know, and not freak if I don't show up for awhile.
