My Dh came home last night and suprised me with adding 3 more nights to our BC trip! So now we are staying 10 nights! I cant believe it. I finally got him hooked. Gotta love a man who is just as excited as you and the kids! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I wish DW was that excited. :) She keeps saying it is nothing special to her. She is just going so the kids can go and have a good time. Oh well. I think she may change her tune when we get there. :) Yesterday we got our GoH badges AND the planning DVD both. She was excited about that. So who knows.

aplejax-You are SO LUCKY! 10 days? That is awesome! I am blessed, cuz my DH is a disney fan, just like me.

G00fydad! Has your DW been to WDW before? because my DH was not enthused for our first trip...but then he was hooked! we stayed at CSR and we loved it...but when we walked into the lobby of the WL he fell in LOVE! :lovestruc Now that is our favorite place to stay and we are probably going back there ...just the TWO of us...for our 8 year wedding anniversary in May! :Pinkbounc

Nope. Actually NONE of us have ever been to WDW. This is our first trip. :cool1: She's just not as big of a kid as I am. :)

Listen...I am not really a "big kid" either! I don't even care so much about the parks :guilty: I am ashamed to admit! But when you see how WDW caters to you and your family...when you go to the delicious restaurants...when you enjoy the fabulous weather...well...she WILL become a huge WDW fan! There is just something magical about that place, plain and simple. If you get a chance, you should consider putting your kids in a kid's program one night and having a dinner...just the two of you. Dh and I do that every trip. We have cocktails and a nice dinner. My DD absolutely LOVES the kid's programs and begs to go there.

Have fun!

Oh I couldnt do that. :) I'd rather chew on a gun barrel than have to deal with DW after I suggest that. LOL Our world revolves around our children. It almost kills us when DD spends the night with freinds. We dont try to stop her or anything but we miss her too much. I couldnt get away with that. As a matter of fact, DW has a freind that goes to WDW at least 2 times a year. They take they're kids someplace like that while they go out to eat one night. When my wife heard this it was all I heard about for days. LOL I dont see a problem with it ( although I couldnt do it myself) but DW just came unglued. LOL

Oops! Well, don't tell her I suggested it or she will think we are a bunch or horrible people on this board! LOL!

My DD is an only child and she LOVES the kid's clubs...she gets to interact with other kiddies. Plus, we stay at the actual hotel..even though you can go anywhere you want to...we feel more comfortable staying on property. We have drinks, go check on her and ask if she wants to stay (she always says yes) and then go have dinner.

Well, she will have fun at WDW, then, cuz she will love seeing the enjoyment her kiddies are having!

How did you do it? My DH likes WDW more than he thought he would but he's still an "every other year or so" guy. I haven't fully convinced him to take our little spring break jaunt yet - but I still paid for the ressies - just in case! We've gone so often in the past year just as pure coincidence. I think he's almost had enough so I'd better get my Disney fix for the next few years!

Yeah, she will. She loves the idea that we are going to be at CBR. And she wants to try some of the different resteraunts that you just cant get anywhere else. Her and DS2 will be shopping while DD10 (my rollercoaster buddy) and I are riding rides. But since this is her vacation too DD and I will be staying with her most of the day and shopping and looking around. DD and I will have EMH's as well as DW and DS's mid afternoon nap times to ride rides. :)

Thats part of the reason I added on 5nights to the beginning of our vacation. DH would never go that long so DS & I are spending 14nights!

For Goofydad: Here's a suggestion: let mom and the 10 year old have Tea at the Grand Floridian one afternoon while you watch DS2 (perhaps at Toontown at MK) The GF is only a boatride away, and the tea will certainly make her feel special. :goodvibes

My DH is totally DIsney. However it took two trips for him to get doused with pixie dust. He liked WDW the first time we went and enjoyed himself. However, he really wasn't crazy about going back the next year and I had to twist his arm. SOmething magical happened on that trip (I don't know what it was - we stayed at the same hotel, etc.) but now he is a diehard fan and we are going every year (in fact twice now that he has decided to run the marathon). Last year at this time all I heard was "how much is this all costing" this year we are going June 28-July 15 (2 nights at "Nick" hotel before Disney) and he wishes we could stay even longer. So you never know when it will hit him, and he might become a true Disney believer.

I just hope we have magical CM's and everything goes smoothly otherwise if something bad happens then that is what DW will associate her WDW trip to. :) Come onnnn pixie dust! :)

what an awesome surprise for you and your family! 10 nights in the World sounds wonderful...have a great time! :earsgirl:

Don't be ashamed! I have to say that I go more for the magic than the parks. We go to the parks but we are content to just walk around if the lines are too long. Of course, I've only been once but the thing I am most looking forward to on our June trip is just being there.

My husband loves it as much as I do, in fact, we both get more excited than our kids, ages 13 & 8. They love it, but we are just big kids ourselves. Everything is magical on property. We would never go and stay off property, that would be cheating ourselves of a great vacation! Your wife will change her outlook once she drives through the main entrance, I tear up each time we arrive. I just love it!!!!

Yeah. I think she will change her tune once she sees the gates. :) Heck I am liable to start crying when DD sees the gates. We have been trying to get her there for years now but something always comes up.
