I agree in giving your child the oppertunity for the best education he can have.
But I also think that teenagers still need that emotional support, guidance, and security from their parents and family. I sit with my DD14 in her room almost every night and we talk about the day and stuff.
--I am not saying that the OP is not suppotive of her son--
SAD! Oh you poor poor mommy! I am 7 1/2 months pregnant with our first daughter and am already sad at the thought that someday she will move out of our home. I live in Massachusetts and there is a commercial playing now for The Fallon Clinic and the song sings "everyday it's a gettin faster goin faster than a roller coaster" and it shows clips of a baby growing up (first day of school, wedding, grandchild etc) and I want to CRY CRY CRY every time! My emotion is probably hormone related HA!
I heard a great saying once, but of course I've completely forgotten how it went. Here's the gist of it...

If someone could find the real quote, I'd love to know what it was exactly.
I can completely imagine how you are feeling. I do believe it will get easier. I remember 5 years ago when my daughter started Kindergarten. I knew she would be fine, but I wasn't sure I would survive it because I missed her so bad!
