I have my Eurostar tickets booked for February but have not booked an hotel yet.

I priced up the cost of the Sequoia Lodge online.

For 1 adult and 1 child (aged 11) the price for 4 nights, including B&B and park tickets is £655

Now would you like to guess what the price is for 1 adult and 1 child (aged 11) without park tickets but with AP discount?

How much will I save do you think?

I phoned to get a quote.

The saving?

£8.72

Yes - eight pounds and seventy two pence. The quote was for £646.28.

Even the chap on the phone said "oh that's not a very good discount is it?"

I didn't book. :sad2:

Thats a bit rubbish isn't it. Are you going to book or look at a different hotel?

Id phone and ask again - it should be less than that as you dont need the tickets

That's ridiculous. The prices are such that the only way to save money is to book the whole package. What are the deals like at the other on-site hotels?

I would phone again :confused3 When we booked the SL the B & B price was a lot cheaper that the package - hopefully you have been misinformed ;)

Its not always much cheaper booking room only than a package.

But yes, I'd try again on the phone - maybe when the next Envie offers come out, for dates including February?

February is so much more expensive than last year. I'm dreading what the May prices will be like....

I'd try again. However, I once looked at booking Disney hotel room only with either shareholders or AP discount and was told that sometimes it is cheaper to include the package with tickets which at the time I didn't need! Does that make sense to anyone who doesn't work for Disney?

I'd also look around as I've just booked Cheyenne in November with the one night free offer and unusually Expedia was cheaper than Disney direct :thumbsup2 although this time I do need tickets too. I have been watching prices recently for both November and December and they seem to be changing constantly and different Disney hotels seem to be getting the free night offer.

Hmmmm - it doesn't seem to make sense. I will definitely try again - maybe when it's within 90 days of departure the price will drop. :confused3 If not, I think I will try going offsite - maybe Kyriad or Holiday Inn.

Children under 12 are free at that time as well arent they (DD is still under 12 isnt she?)

Is there an offer for a night free? If so you get that on a package but not on room only so that will affect the price

How annoying

I can remember a poster saying that a few years ago ~ if I remember rightly she booked the package and used the tickets for extra fastpasses.

Oh well, look at it this way, you could always set yourself the goal of staying at every hotel, both onsite and off. :)

Have you looked at Expedia. Kyriad is only £289 for 4 nights in Feb half term with no tickets.

Ooooh, with that sort of saving, I could be looking at a stay at Easter as well. :rotfl:

I noticed that too. The prices on expedia for 4 nights with tickets was the same as room only with no tickets cause of the 'pay for 3, get one night free offer'. It sucks.

We had this too for our trip this week. I enquired about RO as was going to buy AP and the package worked out £67 cheaper than an AP RO rate would be - this was because the hotel was doing a 'one night free' offer - sounds like that's what yours is too?
