Would you believe that yesterday the diamond fell out of my wedding ring! I didn't even discover it until in the middle of the night while up with the baby. It was so upsetting to discover. It's not a big stone. In fact I have diamond ear rings with bigger stones. We were 17, broke and had a baby on the way when dh asked me to marry him, so the sentimental value is worth more then the ring value.
I know we can have a new stone put in it. Our local jeweler said they'd have to send it off and it would take about 4 weeks to get back. (we live in a very small town ). But since we will leave for vacation in a few days less than 4 weeks and be gone 2 weeks I would be 6 weeks without my rings. I'd go nuts. We're gonna drive into the city and see if a bigger jeweler can get it done quicker.
How ironic; talking about a vow renewal and I damage my ring.
