I recieved a phone call that my father is receiving a humanitarian award, from the city. I dont normally feel the need to tell 59,000 people, but the 5-6 that I would tell werent home, so unfortunatley you poor people got stuck with my story. My father has always been very involved in the community and has received many awards. He has always given his time selflessly. Last year (6 months before retirement) my father was diagnosed with MSA(degenerative, neuromuscular disorder, similiar to Lou Gehrigs). Since that time he has had a tracheostomy and now uses a wheelchair. This is very hard because he isnt used to relying on anyone. So At 34 years of age I am very happy to say that I am very proud of my father. Ok thats it, thanks for listening
