I'm so out of the loop on today's things

I don't have an IPOD, I have an old MP3 player that works for me and I didn't know how to download the songs, my son did it for me.

I do text, rarely, We don't have a dvr, I do Facebook and love it but can't figure out farmland. I don't Twitter.

I don't Twitter and see no need for Facebook. I do send text messages. It can take me about 10 minutes to compose a two-sentence text. Five seconds after I send it, I already have a reply from the child I sent it to. I have read some of the Twilight Books, but didn't like the writing or the wimpy, boyfriend-obsessed Bella. Vampire Diaries are much better books IMO.

I was watching a segment on the Today show about the amount of tourists going to some little town in Washington state where the Twilight series takes place.

I've never read or seen the movies. I don't keep up with the other populare vampire series either.

I don't twitter, though I've been tweeted about. Never thought I'd say that
I don't have a face book or myspace page or own website. Just call or email or even text message.

I do text message but spell out all the words because I can't speak text message language.

I think I'm getting old but I just don't have the need to follow all these things. Heck I do good to figure out my new IPOD that can hold thousands of songs and movies and whatever else.

Anyone else out of the loop with me?

I could've written this post. LOL!!! I also don't know (or care) who most of the people are on the tabloid covers at the grocery store. I have never seen an episode of Jon and Kate, or the Duggars, and only know who they are because of the chatter here. I often have to google celebrities that are mentioned here to see who they are because even being told what they did doesn't help because I've never seen the movie, show, or heard their song. LOL!!!

Now, I do enjoy playing the games on FB, but almost never update my status or things like that. I also have a twitter account but haven't even logged on in a few months.

I don't Twitter either, I know absolutely nothing about it and don't want to.

I do have a MySpace page, but then my kids introduced me to Facebook and I do use Facebook a lot, to keep in touch with the kids/grandkids and friends. I probably should delete my MySpace page, as I never go there anymore.

I didn't read the Twilight books, but did see the movie and liked it. But I love movies anyway, most kinds, and do enjoy my Netflix subscription.

I don't do much texting, we don't have it added to our Alltel account. It's 15 cents per text and about the only time I do it is when we're up north camping. We drop calls on the cell pretty easy up there, so it's just easier to text and since we do it so seldom it really doesn't cost that much. But I, too, spell out the words. I do like the T-9 feature, that helps a lot.

I don't have an iPod, although I've been thinking it would be nice to have one. And I've never bought/downloaded songs from websites like iTunes.

So I kinda know where you're coming from.

I do facebook, but I do more reading than posting. Something about putting my whole life out there for everyone to see makes me .

I have a cell phone and I text. I also e-mail. I don't tweet. I have no idea what Twilight even is...is it a show or a movie or what?

Twilight is a series of books by Stephanie Meyer about teenage vamires living in Washingtong state, and how they interact with non vampires and werewolves.

Anyway, I don't tweet or text but I do facebook so I can keep up with all of the goings on with my neices and nephews.

I had heard about the town in Washington, but only because I live here and I kept seeing (mostly on the DIS) people talking about Forks. It definitely raised a "why in the heck are people talking about Forks" reaction!

I don't text, ever. I consider my cell phone an emergency contact device. I don't even really know what Twitter is. I joined Facebook about a month ago and made myself so private no one can see my friend list or see me on other friend lists. It creeped me out! My sole purpose is having the ability to spy on my kids. (Don't worry they know I signed up to check it out before I gave them permission to join. At this point they actually WANT me to check out their facebook pages and have me as their friend.)

I have the problem of relying on my kids for all things technical, so I'm going to have to get it together before they head off to college. My main worry is figuring out how to deal with pictures - I did finally get a digital camera, but I just take pictures and then they do all the rest.
