my show choir festivle is on march 10 and when i am scard i mess up.and it is my first time in show choir
and if i mess up i mess everyone up
what should i do?

nervice is spelled nervous...Anyway...

Don't panic just keep going like it never happened...or make a joke about it afterward...

Well our director says that you dont mess up unless you show it. If you turn left when you should go right and then l;ook terrified that you messed up, you messed up. If you go left when you should have gone right but go with it, then there was no mistake.

Dont worry about it you will do fine. And remember these wise words " never poke a monkey with a stick"

Just don't worry, pretend like your in front of your parents; pretend like you're
the world famous actress/singer and that everyone loves you no matter what!

"The biggest mistake you can make is being afraid to make the mistake."
*that was our quote last night at vball.*

you'll do fine! just relax, have fun, and do what you know how to do! :thumbsup2

i'm nervous too because i have my first vball tournament this weekend. :scared: i hope we do ok, and dont embarrass ourselves!:guilty: :upsidedow

on March 10th that is one of my big choral concerts too!
Don't worry. If you mess up just smile and look like it'll never happened.
The audience will never notice! And seriously if its mostly parents they probably will only be paying attention to their child.

you sound like me before i ride in a show
what if i mess up everyone will laugh

in those lower scale events everybodys there to watch their child noone really cares except the people watching you

If you mess up, just act like you know what you're doing. But chances are, if you have practiced enough, you won't mess up.

Trust me, I'm going on a choir tour this weekend, and it's my fifth year in choir. I have messed up LOADS of times, but by the second year I had learned to just act like I know what I'm doing. If you fool yourself, you CAN fool your audience.

Just avoid eating any sugary foods before your festival, and drink plenty of water. That way your voice won't have as much of a vibrato when you're nervous. Good luck at the festival! :)

Everyone before me is right, if by some small chance you mess up, just don't look back and keep going, who will know besides you? and maybe a few choir friends or the director, but the sdience won't know unless you makie it obvious.
Practice makes perfect, just sing it whenever you have spare time to.
Warm up good before hand and don't eat chocolate or sugary foods liek Caitlin said.
Good Luck!!!

I keep telling you every single day that you will be fine. I'am your sister and you need to trust me when i say you will do great we've been practing like every single day for hours. I went throught the same thing and the same feeling in 6th grade and i did fine. But if you mess up one move don't make it look like it just keep smiling and keep going. And like i keep telling you when we are on the risers keep the steps small so you won't fall off. You know what you will be so nerviuos before you go on its like your shaking and when the certions open you will be really nervious but when you start dancing it will all go away with this big rush of energy that you never want it to end. I will be there with you all the way so you'll be fine. I'll calmb you down right before we go on together. Don't forget you do't have to be this nervious alone, we all feel this way even me and i've been doing this for years but the feeling never gets old. You have like 70 people looking out for you, and thats just the kids. You also have bubba, gill, and mrs.lockney and were all here for you especially me, i'am your sister and i would never let anything happen to you wheather it be in show chior or anything else i will always have your back no matter what. Just calmb down keep practing and believe in yourself then you will be fine and there aere a bunch of people looking out for you even the ones that you don't like because were a team and we all have eachothers backs. And no matter wehat happpnes out there we know that we will do better in bartlett and thats when we will caome on top. And if you need anything else you know i will always be there for you when you fall. I love you lots and i always will your my sister and that will never change!!!!!!!!!!

Aw don't worry. I am a singer too, and it is scary to perform. But just practice and it will get easier. I used to be terrified of singing in front of people, but now I love it. So back to you, don't stress, practice and you'll do wonderful. Relax and breathe. GOOD LUCK!

WOW that was awsome i loved it but the whole toime i was on i had to go to the bathroom
and on the last song i got on the wrong side of my partner

If your choir is anything like our band, you will do just perfect the time it really counts. We did HORRIBLE for our band practice for our concert, but we only messed up once or twice when the time came.
