....and I just can't hide it! I'm planning the parks and ADRs for our Easter jaunt! :cool1: :cool1:

Can someone assist with a couple of questions please?

We are staying at Pop, if DS does the pirate cruise from the Yacht Club, can we swim/sunbath at the Yacht Club pool while he’s away?

Has anyone tried the Wave at the Contempory for tea? Is it smart or casual?

We are thinking of having our ‘adult night’ at AKL, DS can go to the kids club and we can hit Jiko. Should we taxi there and back or are the buses OK?

Booked a coach trip to NASA with Virgin. Anyone done this? Any recommendations/tips for the day? Really looking forward to it. :cheer2:

Finally, we have 4 days at HRH and are thinking about Wet & Wild as DS loves waterparks. How does it compare to BB or TL?

Thanks for your help peps.

Disney has a no pool-hopping policy, and I believe that the Yacht Club is one of the places the actually check your KTTW card to see if you're staying at the resort.

It's been a long time since we've visted Kennedy Space Center, but if you have a space enthusiast in your family, you'll have an enjoyable day out. I know there have been many additions/improvements since our last visit, so maybe it's about time we went back. :upsidedow

Personally, I don't think Wet n Wild holds a candle to Disney's waterparks - but if your DS is a bit older and loves the more thrilling water rides, then go for it. DH enjoyed the fast slides, etc and I just hung out at the kiddie area with our DD. ;)

Hope that helps a bit. :)

As already stated, Disney has a no pool-hopping policy. As the pool at the Yacht/Beach Club is one of the better pools on property, they are quite strict about checking that you are staying at one of the hotels if you try to use the facilities.

Why not book a late breakfast at the Boardwalk (Spoodles is nice for breakfast) and have a leisurely breakfast and a stroll around the Boardwalk area while he is on the pirate trip.

I've not been there myself but, from what I've read, it's a casual place - some people there may be dressed slightly smarter because the Contemporary is a conference hotel. Try asking on the Restaurants Forum for more detailed information or check out some of the reviews over there.

The safest bet, if you have an ADR and want to be sure to arrive on time, would be a taxi. However, if you allow plenty of time you should be OK with the buses. I would recommend avoiding any bus route that takes you via Downtown Disney. From Pop, your best bet would be to get a bus to Animal Kingdom and then the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge from there. However, if you're all dressed up then, again, a taxi might be a better option and shouldn't cost that much from Pop.

Haven't been myself but DH and the in-laws went last April. The dine with an astronaut is supposed to be a good experience (extra cost though) but other tips I have read say not to book too many of the additional tours as you will find there is hardly enough time to see the whole place in a day anyway.

Without a doubt, our favourite water park is Typhoon Lagoon. we have only been to Wet n Wild once and, whilst it was OK, I don't think it can compare to the Dinsey water parks as far as theming and cleanliness go. The water rides are fairly comparable and, if it's included in your ticket, would be worth a visit but, personally, I wouldn't pay extra to go there.

Hope you have a great trip and feel free to ask other questions if you have them :)

Thanks for the replies, thats a shame re the Yacht Club pool, we can just wander though.

I'm sure I'll find many more questions before we go, this is our 5th trip and we STILL don't know everything or have time to do all thats on offer.

thanks for the NASA tip, we booked the meal with the Astronaut by mistake but thought itd be good for the buffet anyway. glad its worth it :goodvibes
will tell husband not to book to do much extra there, im sure i'll get bored after a few hours :lmao:

Not sure whether to make an ADR after the Space Centre trip. Anyone know what time Mears will dop us off? I'm thinking its a full day so 7pm is a guess but not sure?
