I just found this thread and am jumping up and down (or at least as much as I can with my laptop at this late hour!) I am a huge scrapper, especially Disney! Maybe someone here can help me out -- my DH bought me a Cricut Expression for Mother's Day with the Disney Princess cartridge, but I can't seem to get it to work. Regular scrapbook paper sticks too much to the mount, and cardstock (which is still hard to get off the mount) doesn't cut all the way through! Is there a trick that I'm missing?

You may have to change the depth of your blade. For cardstock I normally have my set to 5. Turn the knob on top of your blade. Also you might need to adjust the pressure wheel. I think I have mine set to 4, but its covered up right now or else I would check. Try making those changes and see if it cuts through the cardstock. For Bazzill I normally will turn the blade up to a 6. Good luck!

Another thing besides pressure and speed (faster is better for cardstock) you can also press the multicut button - that makes it go over the same place twice. Bazzill is very hard to cut. You'll be glad it sticks tight to the mat, because if it doesn't, cardstock especially can slip, which ruins your design. The little cricut tool kit has several implements that will help you get your cutouts off the mat.

:welcome: buckeyebill1995!!! i'm not the most cricut savy, but wanted to welcome you to our corner of the world. glad to have you with us!!!

Welcome aboard!:goodvibes

The cricut.com site has a chart for the pressure and speed of different papers. Have you seen/tried that?

Well it seems that everyone has covered pretty much anything, I just want to say :welcome: to our little cozy corner of the DISboards!

Welcome to our site - lots of things are covered here and we have a lot of people who are willing to help out.

I will try these ideas tonight and see if I have better luck. As it is now, I have a very sad looking Snow White with no eyes or lips... :)

Thanks for the warm welcome, too!!!
