I can't stand it any longer - I have to share.

DH is going to pick up our brand new 2008 Conquest 295 BHS (by Gulf Stream) tomorrow!

We went to a RV show this weekend and looked at the Kingsport 40 footer with the electric fireplace and big master, big bathroom, 2nd bath and bunk beds and fell in love with the price of $25,000 with all these luxieries. Went home to think about it, stopped by Ma and Pa Kettle's house and they said hey, we'd like to see that for that price!

Now DH is in love with the 40 ft all the luxery model (Bigger is always better). But Ma wants to see other models so we look around. She sees the Conquest and falls in love. "It's obvious that this is better quality" she says. Well, long story short Bigger may be better but if Ma ain't happy....

The Conquest is perfect for us though. It will sleep 8 and if you have the tiny teenage girls, more.

I'm already planning to spend the summer at a local campground for the store and stay program. It keeps the kids entertained for the summer and is the perfect escape 20 minutes from home.

Of course I am planning a trip for FW too. We are going to go in October for my 10th anniversary. Me and DH for the first few days with the girls and Ma and Pa Kettle joining us for a long weekend. It's going to be perfect.

Well, I will post a picture tomorrow if I ever figure out how. I joined Photo Bug but that's as far as I've got.

Thanks for letting me share.

So excited!:yay:

:thumbsup2 Congrats on the new rig. I'm sure you'll create many happy memories with the family.

Congratulations and best wishes for many fun family vacations spent camping with your new trailer! :cheer2: can't wait to see the photos!

Congrats..pixiedust:

I'm excited for you ! I know how much fun it is to get a tt and a brand new one at that ! That's great !!! Have fun, whenever we first got our tt we would just sit out in the camper all day..hehe and my neighbor had gotten a brand new boat at the same time so we would look out at him and he would look over at us and we would just be like wee...good times...lol.

"I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it, I'm about to lose control and I think I like it"

You're going to have to get a few more posts under your belt before you'll be allowed to post pictures, so go over to the useless facts thread and post some useless crap until you have enough.

Congratulations! We used to have a Conquest 275 FBS and loved it. Never had a problem. I wish you the best...enjoy!

Good luck with the new camper.
Where are you going to put it for the summer? We were thinking of coming down that way for a few weekends and are always instrested in finding new CG. We are going to put ours at Crystal Isles in Crystal River for the month of May. Had to cancel a resevation at the fort to do it. But we are trying to get June reses.

Well last night about 11:00 PM we discovered we had a water leak in the floor since water was coming up through the concrete. We just repaired a leak in same place three weeks ago so we are probably going to have to re-do all the plumbing.:(

We were going to be able to afford it all, the payments, the insurance the campground stays, but things would have been tight so I decided to wait until we get the plumbing repairs paid for. The salesman said he would honor my deposit if we come back to him to get the TT.

I know it's the right thing to do but I have been working so hard to better myself and it seems like the only reward I get is being able to pay my bills, which I am very thankful for but the little kid in me WANTS MY TOY!

So thanks very much for your kind words it is one of the things I like about camping the most - The People.

Happy Camping everyone. I'm still going to check in once in a while.

oh:sad1:

It does seem that just as everything gets squared away, something breaks. You do need to take care of the leak first. But! If you just got all that fixed, isn't the work guarenteed? Or maybe covered under homeowners insurence? Looking for an angle for you to have it all!!!!!

LORNADUCK we stay at Riverside Campground in Arcadia, FL. It is great for families. They have activities for the kids every weekend and it is a clean, friendly campground. If you do a search for Riverside in Arcadia they have a great website. Hope this is helpful. There is also canoeing and other recreational activies close by and the campground is on the river.

PolynesianPixie thanks for the helpful thoughts! The plumber is at the house now but he is bulking at guaranteening the work since the new leak is six inches down for the old one. Our insurance will not cover the leak I don't think but I think it's worth looking into. The house is probably 50 years old and originally built for retiree's to winter here in Florida.

But, it's mine and everybody has to replace pipes at some point. Just want to add that I have read a lot of your posts and you are obviously a good friend to a lot of people and that impresses me.

Happy Camping!

I think you're right BigDaddyRog. I am usually a positive thinker and I won't let this set back keep me down for long.

Again, I have read a lot of your posts and I think it is great how you support people around here.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.

So sorry about you pipes leaking. That really sucks. We had a pipe corrode in our old house and they had to sledgehammer a hole in my kitchen.

Make sure that if you do decide to claim your pipes and damage that it won't hurt you in keeping your homeowners insurance or prevent somebody from getting it in case you decide to sell your home. The later was an issue we had when we sold the house.

Good luck in getting your pipes fixed.

Candace
