I'm So Confused - Rivers of Light Question

I'm confused on the RoL Dining:

Why are some reservations so early - like 11:15am - if the show is at 7:17pm?

Is there just one RoL per day?

I'm assuming this is an outdoor show, correct?

I've been trying to read through posts but I'm starting to get "overly" confused. Thanks for the insight

The meal reservation just ensures you priority entrance/seating for the show. You can dine any time, leave the park and return for ROL later if you so choose. Yes, it's outdoors and depending on the dates, there is more than one show a night. Times also change as the sunset times change.

it seems like the RoL dining packages are like the F! dining packages: your reservation time is for your meal, and during your meal you'll get the tickets for the first showing that evening. So you can have your meal at any available time. There can (and should!) be a time gap between when you eat and when the first showing starts.

From the description I read, the theater holds 5,000 people. For the Rivers of Light dining package, you need to have a reservation more than 3 hrs before the show, so dining before 4:15PM at this time of year.

They also have this as a Fast Pass attraction--which is what we've done for next week.

Could you tell me how the earlier meals work? If we dine at noon (with the RoL dining package) will that reserve us a seat later on at the show? Is that correct? Thanks again

You get a paper (think paper FP type of thing) to use to show at the entrance to the theater when you pay for your meal.

Also keep in mind that if their set up is like Fantasmic, just because you have a dining package ticket for priority seating, don't just show up 5 minutes before the showtime. For Fantasmic the dining package area on busy nights is open up to everyone once it's about 10-15 min before showtime from time to time. Those thinking they can show up 5 minutes prior walk up and find the area packed already.

Not saying the same is done with ROL, but even with the dining package I'd still show up at least 30 min before showtime

The Dining Package/Show seating has yet to begin. It probably will be for same day Show seating because of the small venue and RoL is not shown nightly.

F! converted to valid for multiple days due to the conflict with the SW projection/fireworks show.

Yea I can't imagine they would extend it to offer more than just for that single day

I did not know that.

Matter of fact, I didn't know F! Dining Tickets had the multiple day thing at all.

Is using this possible even if F! was not cancelled for the initial evening?

Because that seems like an extra perk. We'd eat at 12pm and come back on another day.....

Yes. You can attend one F!, that has Dining Package seating, during that specific period stated on the voucher.

Your voucher will be valid for 4 days and you can choose which F! to attend. Most nights there is now only one showing of F! so it is advantageous to have the reserved Dining seating.
