I'm so confused about cake ordering but don't want to bog down the cake pix thread...

If I want a cake can I either order from the cake hotline (by leaving a voice message) OR going to the local bakery (is there only one - at Boardwalk)?

I'm specifically looking for WHIPPED CREAM ICING and everything I've seen posted so far is all buttercream and/or fondant. Can I make a special request like that if I order a cake to feed 20?

one other question - if 16 out of 20 people in my party are on the DDP, what size birthday cake would you order for a REALLY SPECIAL REQUEST knowing that 16 get free dessert and everyone is leaving to fly home the next morning? We're eating at Jiko's; their desserts include:

Flourless Chocolate-Mocha Cake Stack - Served with lavender-vanilla bean ice cream, and chocolate caramel sauce.
Green Apple Mascarpone "Trifle" - Roasted Granny Smith Apples, apple-caramel sauce, whipped cream, and brittle.
White chocolate mousse pyramid with roasted banana and pineapple, banana-pineapple salad, and tropical fruit salad.
Macadamia-Walnut-Dried Fruit Briouates - Served with red cherry sorbet, citrus fruit salad, and Moro orange-tea broth.
Pistachio Creme Brulee - With a Chocolate Layered Bottom.
Plant City Strawberry-Cardamom "Semi Freddo" - Made with orange and balsamico macerated strawberry salad, and almond meringue croquant.

I called the cake hotline to order a bday cake for my mom. They connected me to the bakery that would make it, and I talked to a real person.

Not sure about the whipped cream icing. Sorry.

I would go ahead and order a cake large enough for everybody. I wouldn't just assume that you will get the free cake. If you do get the free one, just save the leftovers and eat off it for the next few days.

thx. I've called a couple times during the day and only gotten an answering machine. popcorn:: I didn't assume everyone would get free cake but 16 ppl are on the DDP so they do get dessert included with their meal. Sorry I didn't make that clear in my original post!
