We ordered our wedding bands on line. When the jeweller got our order for the gold ones (which are a custom order - no exchanges or returns) he suggested we order the sterling silver version (which are kept in stock) to make sure they work for us then return those and order the gold ones. I thought that was a good idea (better than getting stuck for the cost of the gold ones if they didn't work out)...

Well, they didn't work out! The band is too wide and too "thick" for my fingers (which are very short and stubby)...the band with my e-ring (which will still have to be re-set) covers nearly half my finger!!

I'm just so disappointed...those bands were so neat and so cool and now we have to try to find something to fit my stubby little fingers!

We're thinking of keeping the sterling ones just because...but there is just no way to have these for wedding bands...

I completely understand.

I have very small hands and the only way I could have a wedding band was to have it custom made.

I shopped around at several local jewelers until I found someone who I liked. He made the perfect band and I'm thrilled with it.

I thought it would be too expensive, but I found most all of these small jewelry store were very reasonable. Maybe you could find someone near you so that you are happy. That is the most important thing. You don't want to look at your band everyday and wish you had something else. Don't settle.

Thanks so much for your compassionate reply!

I'm in the initial stages of shock. LOL! 'Cause we just got the samples last night. I've been combing the internet for something I like but so far no luck.

We are going to try a couple of local jewelers just as you suggested. I'm keeping my fingers (short and stubby as they are) crossed. Also a friend of mine suggested a place where they sell estate jewellry too, so we're going to look there.

DF says it's not the ring that's important, but the one who gave it to you...he's such a romantic
