I'm silver. What if I check in before our other party?

I'm cruising this time with my mom and sister - it's their first cruise and my second. I'm now available to check in, but they are not.

We're not interested in Palo or any excursions to speak of, but I'd like to make sure we get a decent boarding time and maybe a spa appt.

If I do online checkin now and do theirs in 2 weeks, will that give us dramatically different boarding times or is it mainly to book excursons and such?

Just wondering if I should wait and do us both at the same time, as we'll be arriving together.

Thanks!!

You will not be able to add them to any reservations until their time to check in arrives. You should check in and then when their time comes, they can do so. Boarding times may vary. When you arrive at the port and actually check in there, you will be given a card with a boarding number. If you check in at the same time there, you will more than likely have the same boarding number.

Just to clarify, board boarding numbers are now tied to your port arrival time (assigned during online checkin), not when you actually arrive at the terminal. Definitely go ahead and check yourself in. They can check in as soon as their window opens up and should still be able to snag a pretty early time. We tend to book after the paid in full date and still manage 11am most times :)
Spa appointments are also pretty easy to come by. They open up more once you board.
