I'm second guessing our resort choice

The CR is a great location, but for close to the same rate you can stay at BWV in a one bedroom (which is currently available for your dates). The walk to Epcot is super easy and you can take the Monorail to TTC and then over to MK! I adore BWV and while the travel time is a bit more for MK its still completely doable without folding up strollers. You can also walk or boat to DHS! Their one bedrooms are soooooo nice and PRIVATE!

I would choose space over location. I do love being able to put the kids to bed & stay up with DH in a separate room. If you are unable to get a villa, consider getting 2 connecting rooms, if available.

We own a timeshare condo & stay in Celebration (not right in Disney but it takes 5 minutes by car) so my kids are used to 3 bedrooms, kitchen, family room, balcony, etc.. We vary our trips by sometimes staying on site. The kids prefer the space of the large condo. We stayed at the Grand Floridian in a large room (room with 2 queen beds & then a sitting area/small room) in April. As we entered the room, the kids were asking where our other room was.... I liked the monorail convenience but can't say it was enough to win me over.

Keep checking and checking. We went last year in October. We had originally booked a 1BR at VWL but right around 45 days out, I was able to switch to the Beach Club Villas. Everyone said it would be impossible to get the BCV because of Food and Wine. But someone will cancel.

I just got back from staing at AKL with my two kiddos, 2.5 and 15 months. I will say this:

Staying in a 1br villa was awesome. We initially tried to go back to the room for afternoon naps, but it took so much time + by the time we got on the bus, back to the room, etc they were wide awake. They fell asleep in the strollers in the parks (Thankfully at the same time) the other days.

When they went to sleep it was really nice to have the balcony and the bedroom to mill around in, relax, pack to go home etc. I doubt we would have had anywhere near as much fun if we were all in one room and had to be quiet post 9pm.

I would love to stay at the CR, but to me the extra space was more important. We are planning to go back next year and we are only considering getting another 1br villa for that reason. HTH!
