Me and my girlfriend will be going to WDW January 2-9.. Splash Mountain AND RNR will be closed!


Just wondering, but will they be open during the day on the 2nd? Or do they close on the night of the 1st?

They'll be closed. Well, Splash will. According to information here on the DISBoards http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/rehab.htm, there are no scheduled closures for MGM. So, yes, it means once the Magic Kingdom closes on January 1, Splash Mountain will not be open again until the park opens on January 28. Similar timing applies if Rock 'N Roller Coaster is closed, too.

Oh, that is sad ... try to make it up by riding EE a few times. I'm not big on SM but I do love RnR!!!

The one downside to going to WDW in January is that's when they bring down one or two of the "E"-ticket attractions each year for a week or two.

I say just make it motivate you to have to come back again the next year!

Last January when we went, Test Track and Buzz Lightyear were down for refurbishment. My son was disappointed but he, like you, would have been REALLY sad if we were going this January instead. Splash Mtn and RNRC are his 2 favorites. But that's the risk we take going in January.

Still, you'll have a great trip. How can you NOT?

Thank you all. I'm actually going to move my trip back one day to ride RNR and Splash Mountain. It will be worth it.
