I'm redoing my whole room and I need some ideas!

Right now my whole room is purple and I'm sooo sick of it. My mom said I could re-do it. The only thing is that I share a room with my 3 yr. old sister, and I have to get bunk beds. I want to have a really cool bedspread and sheets though, but i have no idea what stlye, colors, etc. what color should I paint my walls, what color should my rug be ?

How about light blue walls and like yellow stars and moons around the top as a border. or something like that.

what color is the furniture in your room right now? I share a room with my little sister (shes 10, im 17) and we have like a dark mahogony color furniture (dressers, bunkbed, desks, armoirs, pool table). She has yellow and blue sheets, and i have red and blue sheets. We have two black chairs that have blue and yellow throw pillows and blankets with them. Then we have two blue and yellow lights above the chairs so it looks cool from outside our room. Our carpet is blue and are walls are white... there are some ideas, try to mix in alot of similar colors. Or do bold colors like reds, greens, blues, orange... but if you dont like bright bold colors do softer ones like pinks, light blue, tan... you catch my drift?
