I have a hard time recommending it to any adult. I had chronic tonsillitis as a child up into my adult years - I would suffer horribly with sore throats. The doctor would always make a gasping noise when he would see how big my tonsils were and mention I should some day have them removed - dang it doc, why didn't you do it when I was a little shrimp?
Finally, at age 28 I scheduled the surgery. I was absolutely healthy [other than tonsil issues], was not worried one bit and had no pre-conceived notion of adults having tonsillectomy. OMG It was horrible - I had complications and had to stay overnight in the hospital. I literally almost choked to death.
BUT, I healed quickly, lost about 10 pounds I needed to lose anyway and 18 years later very rarely experience sore throats - I live in the state that is #1 with allergy issues. It's worth it, but proceed with caution.
Wow - I can sure be wordy sometimes. Hope everyone is feeling better.
Get better soon, Pete! We'll miss getting to hear you guys this week, but if you're sick, you need to take some time to recover. It's been a bad year for colds and sinus infections and stomach bugs in our house, too.
Feel better, Pete! I think something's going around. I just recovered from my 5th respiratory illness this year, so be sure you're completely recovered before you get back in the saddle. You don't want a relapse!!
i was there all last week and kept my eyes open hoping to run into you.............guess there was not much chance of that.......hope you are better by now.............
Although I will miss my "fix", it's much more important for you and the team to be healthy.
You have had many changes to your health this year....the diabetes, loosing weight, traveling to distant countries (not that you should change that!!!)
But those things take a toll! Get better fast!
Thank you for apologizing about the breastfeading comment. I love the show and have to admit I was taken aback by the "perceived" strong opinion you had about breastfeeding moms in the park (mostly because I have breastfed in Disney parks...discretely I promise). Anyway, the apology was heartfelt and really appreciated by this fan!
