Wow.
This weekend we went to my uncle's house in NY. My dad's family hasn't been particularly close since my grandparents (well, mainly my grandma) died in 2002/2003. Prior to this weekend, I hadn't seen them since then.

My oldest cousin went to a psychic about 1-2 years ago. He taped everything with a tape recorder. The psychic started "reading" him and told him things about our family no one knew. The psychic started going on about our grandparents, right down to the Jeeps on fire, closet fires, and how my grandpa carried Tootsie Rolls around all the time. The stuff she told us was absolutely uncanny, no one but the family would know about that stuff.

She keeps going on, and then she goes "Who's got the disease? Who's got the illness? It's in the leg, and the hip". :scared1: This was right about the time I was diagnosed with cancer in my leg, which ended up causing hip issues because my legs are different lengths. The psychic goes on, talks about one cousin's issues that NO ONE knew about except for said cousins and their parents - that was a shocker. She was also talking about a "Mary" and a "Louis/Louise/Louie". No one from our immediate generation had those names. My mom is big into genealogy and went back into her records on her computer, and sure enough there was a Mary and a Louise a few generations back.

Between his experience and a close friend's experience with "psychics with a 6th sense", I really want to get a reading. Some are fakes, but the stuff these people knew were just mind-blowing.

Wow that's fascinating.
I really want to go to a physcic & be hypnotized one day!

wow.
that's pretty crazy.

i don't really believe in psychics, but that sounds pretty wicked.
the way i see it though, if i was a psychic, i'd be finding out those winning lottery numbers.
XD

Wow, that is so cool! Sometimes psychics arent very reliable thoguh, but for you it seems it worked :]

Yeah, it was just so, so, so eerie and bizarre and crazy. The one thing that really got to me - I guess my grandpa had "sent a message" telling someone that they needed to start going back to church, and to pray to St. Ann. My dad had started going back to church at our local church. What was the name of the church? St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church.

We didn't find out any of this until yesterday. It was just absolutely one of those freaky deaky things.

Whoa! How cool :)

I'm not sure I believe in psychics, but I believe that those we've lost don't ever really leave us.

I heard "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)" at the mall today. I usually take that as a sign from Kim.

I thought this said, "I'm really, really starting to believe in physics"

But yes, that's ironic.

Sadly, when I was writing the story on myspace as a comment to my bff, I spelt it "physic". :sad2: I didn't realize my mistake until after I hit send. I'm usually a great speller, but the phys/psy words confuse me so much.

Yeah, it's just very mind-boggling. It only proves to me that everything happens for a reason. If you believe in a God, it's like he maps out your life. It makes me wonder what they know that we don't.

That's so amazing!
I love those kind of things.

My grandma's close friend is a psychic & she does readings all the time. My grandma said she would take me to get a reading sometime. I'm really excited, because she's usually right on the dot with what she says.

Like, I've always been into ghosts and psychics like John Edwards, but I didn't really believe half of the things he did. Sylvia Brown from Montel was a little bit scary accurate though. I'm pretty wary of psychics, but some of them are very true and genuine. This woman definitely was. She is from NJ so one day we're going to go over and see if we can get a reading.

I've always been into that stuff too. My grandma loves Sylvia Brown & she has read a whole bunch of Danielle Steels books. My grandma's friend is scary accurate about a lot of things. She told my cousin that she would end up getting divorced to her husband that she had at the time & would have twins. My cousin 2 years later got divorced, met a new guy, got married & had 2 kids a boy & a girl, they weren't twins but they were only 17 months apart.

She also told my mom that there would be an unexpected change in her life in the near future. A few months later my mom found out she was pregnant with me. hahah

Kinda Crazy!!!
I'm quite the pessimist when it comes to that type of stuff, but I do have to admit when something is more than pure coincidence.
There's this lady who goes on the radio station I listen to, and she's predicted SO much stuff correctly---mostly stuff around Toronto, BUT she predicted the monorail crash @ WDW and MJs death!!

John Edwards is totally full of poop. I used to watch his show and he was soooo general with all of this 'messages from the great beyond' that it made me laugh.

I'd never want to get read by a psychic though, even though I'm not she she/he COULD predict my future, I'd rather not live execting certain things to happen.

I've always been mildly interested in that stuff, and I think I'd want to get a reading done atleast once...but I'm really skeptical about that stuff.

My BFF's aunt went to one after a family member died, and she was telling us the story. It sounded legit..but idk..something about it just doesn't click for me..

I'm sure there's some legit psychics out there..but it's hard to tell when they are real or just fakes

This kinda stuff just fascinates the heck out of me. I mean I know there are some psychics that are quacks and out to steal peoples money, but some of these people are legit. I mean this sorta stuff with predictions has gone way to back to none other than the most popular psychic Nostrodamas. Who I believe was really real in what he saw and to this day still things are coming true that he predicted a long time ago. I don't think this is something you can learn by studying though, I believe this is something of a gift that is given to certain people.

i love psychics!

when i did advertising in journalism in high school i would have to call random businesses and try to get them to buy ad space from me. and i called a psychic one time and i said, "hi shelb-" and she said "i know, and we're not interested in buying at this time."

I had her on speakerphone and the entire room burst into laughter.

My friend went to a psychic with her mom and she said it was really cool. She told my friend that she would probably grow up to debate as being a lawyer or something close to that which is strange since my friend never really considered it. I don't really know if I believe in that stuff or not.

Nope, I don't believe in that stuff. They told me once I would be dead at the age of 18 from an alcohol overdose! Ummmm, I'm still alive!
