I'm rather upset at disney right now.... (A/C and beverage spending)

I have to agree. We were there June 20-28 and had several days with temps in the mid 90's and a real feel over 105. While it was hot and humid outside, I can't think of any restaurant, gift shop, resort, or bus that didn't feel adequately cool -- sometimes downright cold.

And that's kinda what doesn't make sense to the original complaint (no offense...I get it)

It's downright unhealthy to have huge 25 degree swings in temperature on your body over the course of the day.

Plus...it hasn't been "extreme" in many parts of the country this summer yet...maybe Florida is just kicking people's butts?

It takes anyone time to adjust to extreme heat in the summer...but if you're in reasonably good shape, the adjustment should take a few days. That's just common sense.

Can't expect the swamp to always be kind...it's been relatively so in the summer for the last few years (93 degrees)...97-98 highs and 75 "lows" are just going to pound you...there is no relief.

I wonder if this has anything to do with their new super solar panel electric system? Shaped cute like Mickey head but maybe it hasn't got the ability with power.

I wonder if that is the reason there. I know in summer I start feeling really sick if I'm in and out of AC too often, it seems the stores around here keep it WAY to cold given the temperature outside. If I was going to stay in it would be fine and I can understand why some places need to be cold (two weeks ago I was bringing a jacket to work as I was doing tests in a room connecting to a server room that has to be kept around 63 to adequately keep the servers cool).

If it feels like 114 out I wouldn't want them to make the buildings less then 85 so the heat differences aren't so bad on everyone all the time. However since 85 is still pretty hot I could see people agreeing with you and thinking it was a problem.

Listen...I really hate extreme heat. Like 80 is great and 90
Makes me angry. And I lived in Orlando...so I'm not "anti-air conditioning"

But there have been times in the past (I can think of a 5 hours slog in the world showcase in June of 1998 when it was 99 and the sun felt like it came in for a "closer look") when I would walk into impressions de France or the Mexico pavilion...got blasted by the Eisner era AC...and nearly passed out.

Sometimes the best option for an individual is to stay the hell away from WDW in the summer. For a variety of reasons...but the fact the clientele is on the average not in great health being a big one. Buffets and scooters at way above market rate.

There is a reason why the winter months get increasingly more crowded and the summer...frankly...is light. I was doing some travel planning (hobby of mine) for some relatives for the last week in July this weekend and EVERYTHING was available...all the fastpasses more or less and all the restaurants. 3 weeks out. That is not an indication of high crowds.

The weather does have something to do with that...and why many don't travel in the summer anymore. Generally speaking - DVC doesn't line up for anything in the summer unless they have school age children or occupations. But you can't get near the place October - March. And when it gets hot again, it goes down.

I think of Epcot in particular when I think of rotating 100 degrees and AC blasts...it's rough on the body.

And animal kingdom is worse...

We got hot early this year and it's crazy hot. I just saw a cloud of lovebugs when we were at a stop sign. At least folks are buying water instead of doing without. The stores need to have closed doors on Main St...imo.

Monorails were warm back in '72!
