I'm Packed; Camera is Charging; 4 Days to Go

Everything is packed and ready (except the toiletries that we still need between now and early Friday am). I have the camera charging. Cell phone chargers right in the kitchen where we can use them between now and then but not forget them. Anything else I need to be doing? I just went back and went through the suitcases (i.e. Rubbermaids) to make sure I have everything we need and added an additional long sleeved shirt for each of us (AccuWeather and Weather.com are all over the place for next week). I do still need to pack ds8's backpack for stuff to keep him occupied in the car and dd5's backpack for the plane but they are still using those for school today and tomorrow.

We went over to my cousin's house last night and started the packing for what they could for their family (cousin, her dh, and 4 kids).

I guess I could go and clean out the car and get the oil changed but I planned to send dh to do those on Wednesday.

We got our oil done yesterday. Today I have to still do last minute packing....woo hoo....we leave on Thursday!

Don't forget a clean windshield, and new wipers so you can see. Check all fluids! Brakes good? Empty the ashtray and put change in for tolls! Don't forget your seatbelt! Don't go in the water for at least a half hour after eating! And have a great trip!!

This is funny. Of course, I'll clean the windshield when I wash the car today but I don't need new wipers - there's nothing wrong with the ones I have. Fluids will be checked and topped with the oil. Ashtray - our car doesn't even have an ashtray but thanks for the reminder about the tolls. Seatbelts are always on but that is a myth about going into the water after eating.

WE LEAVE THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!!! Now that seems really soon.

Have a safe trip! I am doing the same...things charging all over the house! Less than 24 hours to go!!! Woohoo! We stayed at POR last year, it was great!
