Thanks all!! I appreciate everyone caring so much. I would have posted sooner if I had known people were worrying

I haven't been able to post before and really should be in bed. I did go to the hospital and ended up spending the night there. It took 2 hours to be seen!! If I really had a heart attack, I would have been dead. I was told since I am young and female it wasn't likely a heart attack.

I have Bacterial pericarditis and infulenza. I just had the flu two weeks ago so it's sad I ended up with it again. The flu caused the Bacterial pericarditis. Chest still hurts and very tired.

Thanks again. Gonna go lay back down.

SOOOO glad you are going to be okay! I hope you will be able to really take it easy and take care of yourself until you are completely well. Bacterial pericarditis and influenza are nothing to sneeze at, that's for sure.

So glad you went and got things checked out. I am surprised they blew you off for 2 hours - a 24 yo friend of mine had a heart attack last week! I don't think heart attacks are real picky about age, but thankfully that wasn't the case for you.

I had pericarditis about twenty years ago. It was extremely painful.
Mine was due to an allergic reaction to the antibiotic Tetracylcine. It took a long time before the pain completely disappeared.

Best advice I can give you is to rest, rest, rest and more rest.
