I'm not sure that we are DDP material, but I'm hoping we could be!

hello all!
Last trip to Disney we brought a lot of food with us (snacks, drinks, PB&J,etc). We very well may end up doing the same thing this year but if the plan works for us, it may be easier to just use it (we fly!) This is our family and eating habits, we are grab and go fir breakfast, QS for lunch and TS for dinner:
DH: (B) several coffees a day, may have a Danish/ breakfast sandwich.
(L) sometimes very light, other times a burger, etc. (D) will be a meal, sometimes an app, never a dessert. DH likes to have a few drinks with his meals, as well. DH might grab a bucket of popcorn to snack on, too.
Me: (B)coffee/tea with a bagel or muffin, (L)burger or sandwich, water (D)meal, I like dessert but usually don't order one (I'll eat it if it's given to us, though!)
DD7 and DD4: (B) milk and bagel, muffin, cinnamon bun (L) pizza, chicken fingers, grilled cheese (D) meal and they like dessert! They also enjoy snacking a bit, too!
Last time we were very frugal and ate at food courts, pizza take out and our food from home. This time I think we'd like to eat at TS restaurants for dinner? Maybe a pizza night. Thoughts?
We are going to CRT and Ohana. Possibly Sci-Fi, Raglan Road, Teppan Edo, WWC, etc. thanks!

Why do you want the DDP? To save money, or because you think prepayment will be convenient? If you are going to do a lot of buffets or fixed price the DDP would almost certainly save you money but you have only one of those listed (not counting CRT which is two credits).

Thank you both for the helpful suggestions! I honestly think we are NOT dining plan material, I just think it may be more convenient? However, I am the kind of person that will take cost-effective over convenience any day.
We will not be doing buffet meals, our family prefers a plated meal. The girls and I enjoy dessert but DH doesn't. It seems that the dining plan offers a lot that our family just doesn't use :(

That's been our issue with the plan also and why we don't bother. I don't even see the convenience for us...it doesn't save time, it doesn't save money. Luckily, we are eligible to purchase the TIW card so we get extra savings that way too.

How do you purchase TIW card?

We are not dining plan people either. We just cant eat that much food. To take the sting out of the food prices we buy Disney gift cards at Sam's Club for a discount , I think it's $95 for a pack worth $100. we use those to pay for our food and souvenirs. The money is already spent so I don't feel as guilty about ordering what I want.
