For those who didn't follow our PTR, this report is for Piper's trip through Make-A-Wish. Piper was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at four months old, and has really struggled for the past couple of years with lung infections and the other fun things that CF has to offer! It seemed like the perfect time for Piper to make her wish. You can find out more of the backstory by clicking on the link to our PTR in my siggie.
:
Our cast includes the following regulars..
Myself..Amanda..a 37yo divorced femme e with a gift for dealing with vomit, coughing, stuffy noses, and an overtired 8 yr old..not to mention the overtired 63 yr old!
Gram.. My mom, 63, who has been very good to Piper and I through some hard times. We love her to , though there are times we think of hastening it!
She was teasing Piper in this one, there will be better ones in the report!
Piper.. The star of our production..a very energetic, talkative 8 yr old who through this trip and planning process has gone from a 14 yr old mindset back to an 8 yr old one, with all the wonder and joy and innocence a little should have, at least during the trip!
Once more..with attitude!
You'll laugh, you'll cry (at least I did), you'll shake your head in amazement, as you come along on our journey! For those of you who have never been on a wish trip, you'll get an insider's view of life at Give Kids the World, a village for wish children and their families. We'll have food reviews for the foodies, fashion shots for the set, and lots of unexpected surprises!
For those Wish Trippers who haven't been on their trip yet..there will be spoilers! Because of the amount of non-wish trippers that followed our PTR, I'm going to be going into lots of detail about the Village and the magic that happens there. I will separate those posts from the "daytrip" ie..Disney, SeaWorld ones, but it's up to you whether you want to know all about the village before you go or not..I just didn't want to spoil your trips if you'd rather be surprised.
:
I'm waiting on the first batch of pics to upload and will probably do the first "official" post of the TR tonight! Right now I'm thinking my goal is to get one day done a week, stretch things out a bit, add some suspense, and give myself time to get things done and keep up with other TRs and PTRs that I've been following! Hopefully you all will enjoy reading our TR as much as we enjoyed our trip!
