Hello! I'm new here. I just found this board this week as I started researching a trip to WDW. I have book a trip for the week after Thanksgiving and I have some questions I hope you all can answer.

Here's my trip:
Arrive in Orlando (by plane) 9:30 PM Nov 29. Take a rental car to a downtown Orlando hotel for the first night.

Question #1: What?s the best place to buy food, drinks, necessities between the airport (MCO) and WDW?

We'll head out early Saturday morning to WDW, staying at POR Dec 1-6. I've read many posts about POR and feel good about it :). But looking on line for park hours I saw that in Nov the parks close 6-7 PM (Dec hours aren't posted yet). I've never been there this season and that surprised me. We've gone March/May in the past and enjoyed gong back to the hotel in the late afternoon and then heading back out in the evening.

Question #2: Do they still have E-tickets? What is a good strategy for the short park hours, any tips?

I bought tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas for Dec 3rd I can't wait for that! My CM said it's a good idea to eat before going.

Question #3:Anyone have reviews/tips for MVMC?

I took the advice at mousesaver.com and made resort reservations without doing a package. And here?s my last question (for now!):

Question #4: Considering the time of year (weather) should I bother with the Ultra or Plus park hoppers or is it doubtful we'll want to visit any water parks? Also, any reviews on the interactive indoor thing?(Ultra only) I can't find any info on it.

Oops, one more question:

Question #5: How do you add your trip countdown to your emails? I'd love to do that :)

Thanks for all your help,

I really can't help with question #1 because we are always on the highway from the Airport to DW so there are no stores that I know of. Goodings is a large shopping center across the street from the Disney Market Place and it is easy to get to and the things are around the same price as home so I just go there.
#2 there are no Etickets they do have Enights and they are listed on the Disney.com site. They have begun to lengthen the park hours slightly so things may change by the time you go.
#3 No answer
#4 It could be 85 and wonderful one day and 60 and cloudy the next. I wouldn't get a UPH but I have been to DW alot in the last few years. The water parks are a ton of fun but if the weather is bad you can save the pluses to do another trip. That is if you will be coming back and keep track of the passes.
#5Clueless but maybe someone else can help you.
Have anice trip.

We have been twice during that time of year, once over Thanksgiving and once the first week or December. It's a great time to go. The crowds are usually fairly light so the earlier park hours are not too much of a problem. For MK you can do an enight to help offset the early closing. You will also be doing MVMCP so you will have time then as well. For MVMCP don't forget to have you complementory picture taken. There are a few stations set up so try to find one without a long line. There is also free hot cocoa and cookies.

My kids usually swim during that time of year, but I wouldn't want to spend a day at the waterparks.

Hello, I can only answer a few of these.........

3) In my humble opinion, MVMCP is not worth the money. When they first started it was great, but they have nearly doubled the amount of people let in and now it really isn't that much better than going during regular park hours. The parade isn't that great, either, and besides, they always have great parades anyway. Overall, I would advise you to pass on this one.

4) I would probably say the ultra since we've never found it very appropriate weather to do the water parks at that time of year.

Have a great trip!

#5- go to the technical boards, that's where you can get the countdown clock. Print out the directions, it's easier to download the clock, just remember CUT AND PASTE... it works easier.

good luck!
