Hi there!

I'm totally new to the forums, just found it and joined tonite! We just found out last night that DH's research paper has been accepted at a conference taking place at WDW!!! We've never been before and will be staying with our 2 kids at the Yacht Club Resort.

This has surprised us totally, in a GREAT way, and now I'm on a mission to organize/schedule and learn about as much as I can before our trip. Thanks for reading and please forgive my lack of disney know-how. :)

Wow-- that's great!!!

First question: are you on the meal plan? It costs $40 per night per adult, $10 per night for kids ages 3-9. It entitles you to one snack (think corn muffin) one counter service meal and one table service meal per day.

Question #2, along the same lines: are either of your kids afraid of characters? If not, you'll want to book at least one character meal-- probably Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary (easily reachable via monorail from the Magic Kingdom.) Take a look at the dining reviews and see what you want to do. Any Advanced Dining Reservations can(and probably should) be made 90 days before your trip begins.

You are going to have SUCH a good time!!

Hello and :welcome:

You're gonna love the Yacht Club. Do not forget bathing suits for everyone! :thumbsup2
